Attending Saturday's Practice

I am making the trip in from Austin to attend Saturday's practice. I have been to a game before, but never for something like this. Is there anything specific I need to know to make it easy? Such as do I need to be there super early, or just a bit before?

Me and my bro are going to Sunday's practice . The only thing I can say is get there about 45 min early if you want a spot on the bleachers . This weekend will be packed! Have fun, its awesome!!!!!
 
take a little mini fan....one with misting would be better....wear white......its going to be hot......you might want to be early to get a seat on the bleachers or you will be standing in endzone.....
 
Saturday will be NUTS!! I know people who intend to be there a couple hours early, just to get a GOOD spot on the bleachers. Take a camera, no video, and anything you might want autographed. Sometimes the guys walk over to the fense and sign autographs, sometimes not, so that's a chance thing.

Gonna be HOT, so be smart!!

Or on the other side of the field.

I've never had a problem standing. After a while people start leaving and seats come available. But during the early to mid part it's packed.
 
Am I allowed to bring water in? I have lived in Texas all my life so I can deal with the heat (especially early in the morning) with some water

It says on the tickets no food or drink. However, I think they may let it slide. I know in the past they had a tent with fans & water that was free.

I picked up tickets online for free with a row and seat number, is it a free for all or is it actually controlled?

See ya in a little while! Todays TC for visitors will be NOTHING like Sat. We get to go down on the field and watch them up close. Just stay out of their way, cause when they change fields they will run ya over!! :texflag:
 
I didn't even realize this until I read the Chronicle, but Rick Perry's "National Prayer Rally" is being held at Reliant Stadium on Saturday. Does anyone know how this will effect parking and such?

I know that the purple lot on McKee is used for the open practice parking.

They sell water and soda inside. I think there is a tent near the north side of the stands that has cups of water for free. I usually buy 2 bottled waters ($7) and that lasts me the entire practice.
 
I went last year on a Saturday and it wasn't that bad, so I wasn't going to get there until 8:00. Am I making a mistake?
