I BLEED TEXANS!
Why did we pick Owen Daniels? Don't we already have Putzier?
Why did we pass up on Jean-Gilles, Bing, and Ko Simpson?
I found some stuff about Owen Daniels:
Height: 6-3 3/8 | Weight: 253 | 40-Time: 4.65
Strengths:
Can be a top weapon in the passing game...Has soft and reliable hands...Runs good routes...Smart player who knows how to get open...Tough and will work over the middle...Adjusts to poorly thrown balls well...A decent natural athlete...A weapon in the red zone...Was relatively productive throughout his career.
Weaknesses:
Durability is a concern and has a history of knee injuries...Lacks ideal size...Is not a great blocker and wasn't used in that capacity...Needs to get stronger...Does not have elite timed speed...Might have to be in the right scheme to succeed.
Notes:
Is more of an H-Back than a true tight end and somewhat of a wide receiver trapped in a tight ends body...Has torn the ACL in his left knee twice, once in high school and then again in 2002...Could be a very poor man's Chris Cooley as a pro.
