Ya, one point for any poll appearance is just stupid. 25th obviously ain't the same as 2nd. Why not just give so many points the higher a team finished? Gotta think it would have a pretty big affect on the outcome. My 'Noles would almost definitely jump a few spots for their run of top 5 rankings in the 80's/90's. But whatever, it's their stupid poll so they can do whatever they want.

Top 100 based on a formula that counts poll appearances (one point) to mark consistency, No. 1 rankings (one bonus point) to acknowledge elite programs, and a bonus for AP championships won (10 points).
