Any interest in an all Texans mock?

Señor Stan

El Guapo
Just thought of something while I was participating in the official TexansTalk mock that Super Mario is running. When I check the thread to see when I am due to pick I ALWAYS do a double take when I see it is almost the Texans turn to pick....thinking that it is MY turn to pick.

That got me thinking...what if we put together a mock where there were 32 board members that were all picking their best draft picks for the Texans against each other. It would be pretty interesting to see who could put the best draft class together for the Texans. It would probably mean that there would be a run on OLB in the 1st round and no QBs or OL, but it they would make for great value picks later.

Ideally there would be 32 people picking to keep the rounds even, but I could see somehow doing it with about 10...We could serpentine the 1st 2 rounds to even out the value of the picks. Someone would get 1st pick of the 1st round and the last pick of the second round. The last person in the 1st round would get the 1st pick of the 2nd round.

Any interest?

I'm not sure I'm understanding how this would work

We'd get 32 people. And then starting at #1, we'd go from 1 to 32 and each person would draft who they think is the best person for the Texans?

It doesn't even have to be 32 people doing it, does it? Since we're all picking for the Texans, there's no need to act like we've got real "rounds".

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

wouldn't that be the same thing as a texans draft board

Exactly.

Except a hodge podged version of it where everyone has different opinions on the rankings but we mix them all together and swirl them up.

It could be an interesting exercise, though.

But kinda confusing. I mean, there are some guys who move down the draft board if you drafted another guy at that same position earlier on.

The board would be almost completely defensive players (except for WRs) until the 4th or 5th round.

It actually would be a lot less complicated with less people.

Look at it as a sort of fantasy draft...However many people would be interested (not many at this point) would draft exclusively for the Texans. While someone who picks 1st may take the top rated OLB and a 2nd tier corner with their 1st 2 picks, someone else may get AJ Green plus a really good OLB.

It sounds cooler in my head that it looks on my monitor.
