Another Texas Team having Problems!!

Almost sounds like us in some cases. You can read between the lines that the friction is starting to build between P&J. I look for Mr. P to be gone by the end of the season. Just thought some of you would enjoy this read. What we are seeing is happening everywhere. The salary cap makes it hard to have a solid team at every position. Everyone seems to have some holes to fill.

I liked this part of the quotes.....

Parcells was also dismissive of owner Jerry Jones' postgame comment that the two of them would be discussing personnel changes.

"Jerry's not making the personnel changes," he said. "I am." :listening

This is the NFL, Bill............ Not For Long.

I would have paid almost anything to see JJ's face when he saw that.
I bet he's thinking about one personnel change he can make. :hehe:

He better not even think of firing Parcells. There's no one to succeed him. If he runs out another Hall of Fame coach, get his resume ready for him. There's no badmouthing of Parcells here in Dallas, just shifting the blame to Vinny and running game.

I think the problem is they are trying to win with a QB who is 41 years old and a RB who is old and cannot get more than 3 yards a carry usually.

I really thought Bill Parcells was the coach for this team. I'm beginning to think not. If he doesn't quit after this year I'm fairly sure next year will be it.

The problem isn't Parcells. The problem is the Cowboys were overrated last year and didn't get any better, and the talent just isn't there.

Bill and Jerry as a "team" if you will made suspect moves or lack of during the offseason. They had money to spend in FA and got Eddie George who tries hard but is what he is. They got Wiley who maybe makes 1 tackle per game. Bad moves. Some of that is Bill's fault. I won't blame Vinny because he has at times played well and at other times played like he's 41. But that's another Bill move. I'm beginning to think they should have just gone with Henson at the very beginning of the season and just let him play. Maybe they'd only have 1 win but he'd be playing.

They didn't pick up any quality RB depth. They didn't shore up their defensive backfield so what they are playing with are guys that should be backups on most teams. They passed over other more highly rated RB's to draft Jones who will contribute nothing this season it looks like.

I just looked at their schedule and they may win 3 more games. MAY. So what should have been a year to build on a fairly good 10 win season has become a diaster and they are virtually rebuilding again.

The NFL is so hard to figure out from year to year. Who would have ever thought the Carolina team would only have 1 win? You just never know.

Parcells should be making the those comments about the team. He's telling the truth and everyone knows it.

The secondary is screwed up with a bunch of third stringers and unheard of free agents who randomly appear without me knowing about it. Like, Lance Frazier.

Then Wiley comes in trying to be the Strahan of the Cowboys but that miserably fails. He's made no plays what so ever

After that, you got George, who just simply cant cut it in the NFL anymore.

And of course the receiving crew is also screwed up since Glenn is out for the season and Quincy Morgan has a bad hammy. So now we've got rookie receivers fresh out of the practice squad looking for their first NFL catch

Testaverde's doing fine. He's been getting 300+ passing yard games and many TD throws. Take away the Bengal game and the 2 interceptions caused by Keyshawn and he only has 2 interceptions.

You gotta keep the hope though! The way the NFC is looking right now, an 8-8 team can grab a wild card spot. I'm really looking forward to the Eagle game. Looking for an upset!

I've not seen the Eagles play this year. It's my understanding though that they are maybe not as stout on defense as prior years.

That should not be a problem though facing the Cowboys who have no running game.

I'd love to see an upset and I suppose it COULD happen (they did play the Steelers tough) but it will take their AAA game and I'm not sure they have the mental makeup to beat the Eagles. After all in their last 3 games they suffered 2 blowout losses if you will.

I dunno. And I like Vinny. He's a class guy, doing a hard job and doing the best he can with what he's got.

We'll see. I'll watch. Heck if any football is on I'll watch!
