IMO, now that we are switching to a 4-3, Peterson would drastically improve our defense. What I like about him is that, not only is he a playmaker, but he is also young. I know its hard for us to get big time FA to come here, but would it be worth it to overpay him.

The downside is that the chances for Bentley, Hope, or any other free agent would drop. I personally think it is worth it.

The only thing that concerns me is that he looked good along side Zach Thomas and Junior Seau. None of our backers are of that calibur.

Thats kinda what I was looking at...However if we do decide to keep greenwood then at least trade babin and get the best package/deal we can on him an then out of the draft pick up Thomas Howard from UTEP to take up in the LB position

I thought greenwood played OLB at Miami and Wong used to play MLB? I really wouldnt mind that lineup. I like babin as the weakside DE and peek as depth and passing downs DE.

Babin most likely will be the weakside DE. We'll have to wait and see how he does at it.

I don't think "OVERPAYING" for anyone is a good idea, unless they're going to do away with the salary cap.
