Another Bye week Mock...

I'm going to trade a 2nd, and 4th to trade up for a higher 2nd and an extra 5th.

1) Nick Toon, WR, 6'3", 225#, 4.5 forty: Big athletic reciever that can learn from Dre and our other WR's. Plays at a high level.

2) Kendall Wright, WR, 5'10", 190#, 4.4 forty: Explosive WR. Yes I'm taking another one. WR corps should be a non issue for years to come. Between AJ, Walter, Toon, Jacoby and Wright we should be deadly there.

3) Josh Chapman, DT, 6'1", 310#: Should be able to play on the nose in Wade's system. Good quickness. Plays for a top ranked Defense in Alabama. Would fit into a nice rotation and should push both Cody and Mitchell for snaps.

4) Traded

5) Chris Galippo, LB, 6'2", 250#: Another USC LB. Should be able to back up any of the LB spots. Is also known for his special teams play. Would be a good solid pick up.

6) Markus Zusevics, OL, 6'5" 300#: Iowa OT. Would make a solid pick up. Plays OT but may be able to back up at gaurd as well.

7) Traded for Mason

1. Toon, I don't think he's a 1st round pick. He is good and moving up boards but I think he can be had in the 2nd round, we can do better in the 1st.
2. Wright, also a good WR but I don't think there's any need to trade up for him, he can be had at our spot in the 2nd possibly even the 3rd round. Also no need for 2 top WR's.
3. Chapman, if still available he'd be a great pick in the 3rd. I see this guy all over the boards and it's difficult to predict where he'll go but I like him as well.
4. Save that pick, no need to trade it away.
5. Galippo, I like this guy and he should be good ILB depth if still available, he might move up a bit.
6. Zusevics, I know nothing about him but Iowa produces really good O-linemen, also needs to add some weight, at 6'05" that shouldn't be a problem.

Bottoms up: Zusevic is only avg OL imo. Probably a Shelley Smith type but not as good.

Galippo is an interesting pick but doesn't get to the tackle enough for me. I would be ok with him but has zero chance of beating out Sharpton.

What happened to your extra 5th? You traded up 2nd & 4th for higher 2nd and a 5th?

Chapman, I focused on this guy several games and he seems to be handled pretty easily by opponents. Walter football.com had him originally as our first now as our 2nd.

Wright is my guy and I've mocked him a lot. Type of WR I want; JJ's speed but faster and Walter's hands.

Toon? Cannot get true eval on him and maybe that's because he seldom gets an opportunity. He is like JJ in that he can look really good then you don't see him for a while. Don't see him beating out JJ or Walter or even Wright for that matter. If you are going WR in first there are several more to look at imo. Good read!

Toon is susceptible to injury's. Unfortunately this will follow him in the NFL.

Wright is a solid 2nd rd. prospect. I like Broyes better & because of acl tear can be had a discount in 3rd/4th rd. depending on gravity of rehab timetable.

Chapman in 3rd would be a steal.

Galippo would provide excellent ILB depth.

I like Zusevics. He is a plus run blocker another late round steal.
