Andre Johnson?

xitvp

Practice Squad
I no longer live in Houston. Does anyone have any latest info on if Andre is going to play this week? We can sure use him back on the field...:brickwall

go to the front page and there is a video of Johnson talking about his status. Nothing absolute yet.

I thought he had some kind of calf injury, not a knee injury. What is it?

Good question!
They stated that he left the game with a calf injury. Now the injury report has it listed as a knee injury. Guess Capers:homer: doesn't know the difference in calf or a knee.

I think he just is sitting when anything hurts at all because they dont wanna take a chance and hurt him before next season.

Casserly said this morning that it'll be a gametime decision. Although he probably wont practice today, he stated that they could "break the rules" for Andre if he could play.

He also stated that he's improved a great deal over last weekend.

It would seem as though he doesn't know the difference in other subjects as well. He can't see that the team has quit on him or that Armstrong should be a starter at wide receiver. Just a couple of my observations.

We nee Dre out there. Especially against a banged up Browns Defense (Their No.1 CB is on IR). :yahoo:
That would be so awsome. But Gaff has done well and if they start Mathis, he could tear that up.

Or the Texans are not taking a risk on injuring him for next year.
If there is any chance of AJs injury being complicated or worsened or if its premature to put him back on the field, just don't put him out there ! Anyway, its pretty obvious we aren't going to come close to matching last years record, so I'd rather we end up with having the worst
record in the league so we get the first pick in April. I know many people
don't appreciate this philosophy (let alone agree with it), but its the best way
to begin to getting things turned around with a strong draft next spring (after replacing the coaching staff).

one bad thing about getting to many high number ones. it eventually start hurting your salery cap situation. you have to eventually start getting quality players in the later rounds.

cleveland tried that philosiphy of losing and collecting high number one picks. they eventually had to let some of them guys go. it takes to much money to pay a high number one every year.

If getting too many number ones is ever a problem, then its like the man said:
that's the kind prfoblems you want.
And I don't know anything about any philosophy the Browns might have had about losing, but I don't advocate an active, deliberate effort on the part of the Texans to lose games. On the other hand, neither do I advocate putting
out single most prized offensive player in a game if he is not fully recovered
from an injury, especially in a game which is part of a season that is already going down the tubes.
