Andre Johnson Misses Practice

Sorry if this was posted already. I didn't see it anywhere.

HOUSTON -- Andre Johnson missed practice for a second straight day Thursday with a deep thigh bruise, raising questions about his status for Sunday's game.

The star receiver was injured last Sunday against the Bills, but was able to finish the game and had six catches for 76 yards.

On Wednesday coach Gary Kubiak was optimistic that he would be ready to play this week against the Jets, but seemed much less so on Thursday.

"It is a concern," Kubiak said. "I'm not going to hide that from anybody. I think the thigh bruise is a bit more than we thought it was. Hopefully he'll come out tomorrow and feel better. But he couldn't go and we held him out."

Johnson leads the NFL in receptions with 74 and his 884 yards are third-best in the league.

He has started each game for Houston this season and hasn't missed a game since he sat out three straight in October 2005 with a calf injury.

Johnson, who is listed on the injury report as probable, jogged and spent time on a stationery bike during practice.

Damn that sucks for you guys. But injuries are part of the game, but I would be willing to bet he plays. Although if he doesn't play, it would really help out of the jets with our #1 CB Andre Dyson and # 2 CB David Barret both questionable for the game.

andre better play, we need him badly it wouldn't be same if we had to start umm*** who?? ~ Kevin Walter woops then we lose.
He should be able to play.

Johnson practices: Wide receiver Andre Johnson missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday while recovering from a bruised thigh he suffered against Buffalo. Today he finally was able to join his teammates on the practice field, and it appears he’ll be in the lineup Sunday against the Jets.

“He practiced, so he’ll be ready to go,” Kubiak said. “You know, I think if he played today, he’s not 100 percent, but not a lot of people are this time of year. He looks like he’s going to be fine. Just get some more treatment tomorrow and turn it loose Sunday.”
