All Encompassing Tailgating Questions Thread

Hello TT family. Please murge if I missed a similar thread. I must admit I've never tailgated before the Texans game. Usually show up about 11:30 and want to be in the stands for pregame activities. So naturally, I have some questions.

I'm bringing some friends to the Steelers game and for 2 of them, it will be their first ever Texans/NFL game. I'd like to show up a little earlier than normal and go through the tailgating areas.

We arrive by light rail so are coming in from Fannin/Orange Lot. Are there any open/free tents or tailgate areas for fans? Any live music or places to purchase beer? I just want to us to be able to wander, drink a beer and talk before going in for the game.

There are not really free tents or anything, BUT, since you are coming by the light rail, make sure you get there no sooner than 8:30, as they do not let walkers in before that. The first 30 minutes are vehicles only with tag.
Ok, now since you are coming in from Fannin thru the Orange lot first, swing by our area.. If interested, send me a PM and I will send you a map on where we are set up at. I will hook you and your guests up with a drink or 2 and some food if you wish. If you just want to grab a beer, chat then take off, that too will work.

You can also just head into Budweiser Plaza for beer and music, but you'll have more fun finding TT Tailgaters in the lots. Have Fun.
