Former four-star, top-100 overall running back Tyren Jones struggled for playing time in 2014. He might struggle even more in 2015.
Alabama announced Tuesday that Nick Saban has suspended Jones indefinitely for "conduct not to the standard of the Alabama football program." No other information for the suspension was given.
Jones was also suspended in October of last year, again for unspecified reasons.
Though he frequently received carries in the late stages of Crimson Tide blowouts, Jones failed to crack Alabam's regular running backs rotation behind T.J. Yeldon, Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake. He finished the 2014 season with 36 carries for 224 yards and two touchdowns.
