This board is an aggregate of 8 of the most notable draft boards. I undertook it because of the great discrepancies between most boards so I wanted to figure out where a consensus might place each player. This it it.
It is the culmination of about 12 hours work.
It includes boards such as NFL.com, Drafttek, cbssports Draftnetwork and Draftwire among others.
The numbers are their collective score.
Enjoy.

5 of the players listed did not declare for the draft:

Raekwon Davis DL Al.
Kristian Fulton CB LSU
Derrick Brown DL Auburn
Treyvon Diggs CB Al.
Rashad Lawrence DL LSU

These rankings must have been prior to Jeffrey Simmons tearing his ACL.

Simmons is the one with the assault charge right? His stocks may fall too.
I didn't look at all the dates, but most seemed to be from this month.
The combine will also have a bearing on many.
I am gonna delete these 5 you mentioned.

T.J. Hockenson is the best TE I’ve seen in a long time. Fant is good but not in the same class as T.J. I wouldn’t be upset with Hockenson with our first pick. We’ve never had a TE that excelled both in blocking and receiving. This guys going to be special.

I believe it was prior to enrolling in college. I think what's keeping Simmons out of the 1st round is the ACL.
He hasn’t had any issues since that I’m aware of. People checking his background have said they hear nothing but good.

This would definitely be one way to approach the OL issue. Grab the best blocking TE who also happens to be the first or second best receiving TE. Use him on the line like Gronk who is just a devastating blocker. He becomes an extra "help" OT to pair with either a FA OT or a second round OT. I'm also really on board with either McCoy or Lindstrom in the second because I think they are immediate upgrades and day one starters.

Killing two birds with one stone is always hard to resist.

This is a small portion of the current cbssports bigboard which includes our pick #23 and several around it - some exciting picks there if it holds.
18 Jeffery Simmons Miss. State Jr DL 5 6-4 300
19 Jawaan Taylor Florida Jr OL 2 6-5 328
20 T.J. Hockenson Iowa Soph TE 1 6-5 250
21 Kyler Murray Oklahoma Jr QB 2 5-10 195
22 Cody Ford Oklahoma Jr OL 3 6-4 338
23 Devin Bush Michigan Jr LB 2 5-11 233
24 Deionte Thompson Alabama Jr S 1 6-2 196
25 Dre'Mont Jones Ohio St. Jr DL 6 6-3 286

Let's hope that CBS is right, because they've got Dillard at #39 and I really want him at #23

Daniel Jeremiah just put Dillard in his top 10. #1 OT in the draft. He has a lot of contacts in the league (former scout), so that's probably a widely held opinion.
He also has Jawaan Taylor at 11 and Jonah Williams at 15.
Cody Ford is at 20.
Ouch.
Could mean a very good talent falls to us on the defense - especially if there are 3 QBs fall before us as well.

I think you realized earlier that this might be a relatively strong Draft for offensive tackles than myself and others did which is encouraging for Texans fans given the extreme need our team has for help at that position so I'm more optimistic than I was a awhile back, say before the Senior Bowl which was an opportunity to learn more about the talent available this year at OT.

I've been thinking the same thing for a while now but didn't expect the pundits to come around until after the Combine. I'd use one of our 2nd round picks to trade up and get Dillard, but not sure how far up that would take us from #23. It probably wouldn't take us into the top 10, and trading up that high gets real expensive. Maybe we do a tag and trade on Clowney for extra picks.

Although I think a good one slides down to us this draft - like Jachai Polite for example who many pundits are high on.
Let's say the Texans get their LT in the first and CB in the 2nd, without giving up the extra #2. If an edge rusher like Jaylon Ferguson or Brian Burns were still on the board with that 2nd #2, that would be hard to pass on. Premium position that could be the number #1 need in 2020. It would be nice to address now, if possible.

So sad and way too soon to be thinking that our JJ may be done after 2020.
We may never see another like him on this team.

If all things were equal, I would draft a DT that can get pressure up the middle. That was really lacking last yr. Of course I'm higher on Duke than most here are.
