"After three seasons of watching the Texans add pieces and build methodically, H-town fans are beginning to get a tad anxious. Yes, there has been steady progress in each year, with the Texans winning four games in 2002, then five in 2003 before a 7-9 season last fall. But Houston still hasn't even reached the .500 mark yet, blowing a chance by losing in their season finale against the lowly Browns"

sounds like people are doubting us, but hey why shouldnt they after our finale against the browns last season. Hoipefully we prove them all wrong !!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am tired of reading all these preview articles. Let the games begin already!!!!!!

hahahahaha

I love it, he's got passion.

He's mad cuz he cares.

:highfive:

We all love the Texans, but, as fans its also our responsibility to make sure the team knows that we aren't satisfied with them giving half @$$ effort.

I'd rather see a team go 0-16 as long as they hussle every play and play the game with heart. Its better than watching a winning team that doesn't show up in the playoffs.

This is so true!!! Until we get rid of this expect the worse attitude, we aren't going to see the best. If you look at the teams who had dynasties, their fans expect #1 every year not #4 with a chance at #1.

LMAO... Gee I never knew that Fans could make a champion football team... Wow then, won't the whole
world be surprise to learn this.. But I've seen where some
of you think you know enough about football to make a huge difference, Get a Life 1st. That is your responsibity
Never seen a 60 yr old so enthusiastic on any forums ^_^

It is true to an extent that the fans enthuse the players to an extent to keep trying their hardest until that final whistle. I remember that dallas game and know that we shouldn't have won. But the entire building had so much enthusiasm it was a sweet, sweet victory.

Honestly, does it matter. I think this, if we would have won, where would we have drafted. If we drafted lower, there is a posibility that we would have not traded down to get another pick in the 3rd round this next draft from the Saints. There is no way we were going to the playoffs last year anyway, so honestly does it REALLY matter. I personnaly am a die hard texans fan and don't want this to show as a knock on the team, but what was to gain more, an extra draft pick or an extra W to break .500. Just my :twocents: I absolutly see them in the playoffs this year going 11-5.

How can you compare David Carr to Joey Harrington. The situation that Carr walked into was far worse than what Harrington had, and Carr still had much better numbers, with only one star reciever. Harrington has had lots of time to complete passes while Carr was on his @$$ every other pass play because his line was horrendous. Thats just disrespectful

I guess if you are Gary Walker or yourself, it does not matter. I bet there were 70,000 fans at the stadium that day that cared, including myself. I will never forget G-Funks attitude on the news that night, he didnt think there was a big difference b/w 8-8 and 7-9. 7-9 and you are looser, 8-8 you are not. Fans go to games to see their team win.

Losing is one thing, but being a "loser" is a personal frame of mind, and personally I don't think that our team is losers no matter what their record is. I do agree with you about G-Funks attitude, somethings are better left unsaid and he should have presented more of a positive attitude.

I don't think there is much difference between 8-8 and 7-9 either. You are a loser either way. I don't think those guys give a flip about 8-8 as something to brag about.

as ticked as everyone rightly should have been, I remember the Browns came there to whip some butt, and they did.
