I like that Higdon was kept on - can still develope into a damaging runner as he is a natural runner and has exceptional balance.
Difficult to put on the ground.
Must have had some issues keeping him off the field last year - maybe a niggling injury.

He has always been complimented for his "vision." But being as short as he is, he would have been expected to be strong at receiving. His lack of this skill and questionable pass blocking due to size was his biggest knock coming out of college. They continued to be limiting last year, although the Texans kept on working with him on this.

Another factor was that he has never been considered an elusive runner. He showed straight-line speed at the Combine, but, he dropped in the Draft due to undergoing surgery shortly thereafter. The actual surgery he underwent was not publicized, but it was bilateral "sports hernia" repairs. With this type of problem, straight-line speed can be little affected. However, cutting and stop and go can be significantly affected. His surgeries essentially knocked him out of participating in OTAs........practice that he greatly needed to try to improve his strength, and to address his deficits. All of these things hampered his development, and it appears that the Texans are willing to give him a full offseason and TC to make definitive decisions as to if he will make the team.

So much for OB being a good personnel man.
I actually thought Roby did a pretty good job until he got hurt last yr. (Surprisingly So)

Hopefully Roby stays healthy and BOB adds Chris Harris. The DB room would be much improved.

(RotoWire) Hargreaves is re-signing with Houston on a one-year contract, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Analysis: The Texans cut Hargreaves in February to avoid his fifth-year option salary, hoping to bring him back at a lower price. The 2016 first-round pick was waived by Tampa Bay in November and claimed by Houston shortly thereafter, eventually making two starts in an injury-riddled secondary. Hargreaves will turn 25 this summer and should at least have a shot to compete for a starting job.
