2017 ProBowl

Sigma

Veteran
I never really enjoyed the probowl, so I didn't watch it this year.

it was curious to see how low scoring it was, was there some rule change that favored defence?

Just watched the highlights, yes it was low scoring. Gotta give Cousins credit on that last INT. Ball hit Graham on the hands and was intercepted and ultimately latteraled to Aqib Talib. Cousins chased him down and stripped the ball...in the Pro Bowl. No quit there. He's definitely worth what we're paying Os and then some probably.

Play I mentioned:

The final sequence was kind of funny unless you're a Jimmy Graham fan. Graham takes a solid hit going over the middle to make a catch. He doesn't appreciate it, gets really heated, and mouths off. Cousins goes back to him on the next play and Graham is looking for the hit instead of the ball. It goes right through his hands to the guy that had just hit him on the previous play. Game over.

Started off slow but the second half got entertaining real quick.

I didn't think the difference in $ made that much difference to them, but when the game was anyones to win the play became more intense.

Couple of players chirping at each other, Garrett arguing call with refs. Beats watching re-runs of Law and Order.

I noticed that as well. Chuckled to myself.

I think the NFL is cheating them as far as pay for the game. It's something like 30k/60k for losers and winners. To most of them that's chump change. Add another zero on there and I'm sure more guys would show up.

Sure, but I doubt the NFL would consider paying the players $300k to $600k per player for a game must fans don't watch.

The fans don't watch it because most stars skip it. Most stars skip it because there is no incentive to play in it.

If the NFL wants the game to be important then they need to treat it like it's important instead of just shoving it into the TV contracts to get an extra pay day.

Yeah, have the league leaders do the skills competitions, but I'd rather watch the two bottom teams duke it out for an extra draft pick.
