Texans random thought of the day

This. A thousand times this. Until we get an actual professional coaching staff a lot of this other stuff everybody wants will never happen no matter who the **** they draft.
Did you watch the Alabama game yesterday? Am I wrong in seeing the similarities between Alabama's offense and the Texans'. With better personel, maybe Pep's offense would work. And FYI, I too have, and do, question Pep's coaching and play calling. But in evaluating Young yesterday, I noticed the similarity and thinking Young was the QB Pep needed to execute his offense.

I dunno but suspect the players & coachs don't have any kind of grudge against Watson unlike some fans and ownership does.
Personally I could care less about beating Watson & the Browns, but what does remain for me is a strong curiosity to see how this plays out in both Watsons personal and professional lives and to be perfectly honest perhaps a little sadness for what could have been down here in Houston.

You should be happy, they were never going to win anything with that quitter/loser.

Well the Texans are number one in suckatude at this time. One more win won’t pull them out of that number one spot. So I’m hoping for just one more win and to be against Cleveland, not really because of Watson even though that would be nice too. But mainly for their Draft pick. I also hope Watson got some of his poop all over the browns playbook the last year and hasn’t learned anything. I Hope for the rest of the year he play like ass, not just any regular ass but a big old fingered ass that’s all stretched out. And the browns lose out the rest of the season.

Steel what I'm happy about is knowing that our Houston Texans will at some point in time have their own renaissance,
but I'm just worried about living long enough to personally witness it. Now since you are still a young man you'll be able to see it !
Casserio has got us in full rebuild mode as we head towards that '23 Draft in KC with what is looking more and more like the # 1 overall pick firmly in hand.
Now I realize that you and some other guys on the board utterly despise Watson so I'm hoping that QB Kyle can win the game next Sunday vs Watson & the Browns for you guys, and since we can still retain the #1 overall with just one more victory it's OK.

I don't care if they win or how much they lose by. I just want Derrick to be unable to walk out of nrg.

Nothing we have not talked about:

I would get excited about this if it came with the Texans staying in Houston and changing their name. Start fresh. I like the space theme. I would get excited for Crane or Jim McIngvale to be involved. That way we have roots.

Definitely would love a change of name

That's a careful what you wish for kind of deal to me. IIRC, the other 4 finalists weren't much better than Texans. Wildcatters, Stallions, Bobcats and I forget the other. Apollos? Not that a new owner would consider those same names, but still.

Perhaps a new owner could get permission/bribe Amy Adams-Strunk for the Oilers name & logo

Do you think this year’s team would have the same, worse or better record at this point had they not fired Culley/Kelly?

I don’t think the actual record would matter much. 1-10, 1-9-1, 2-9, 3-8, who cares? This is a bad football team with a ton of backup at best talent as starters.

I would have been fine with Culley continuing to be our Bo Porter until they started upgrading the talent. Then get the real HC in here in a year or two and get this thing going. But after 2 bumbling, stumbling HC searches, I have no confidence they can even do that.

Wasn’t Fire Ants in there? Maybe 5…lord

Apollos would be cool. A fireball with colors black red and yellow/blue. I think that would be cool.

There are some other sports teams called Apollos.

You're really gonna love it when he is a top 10-15 QB, although you will never admit you were wrong.

LOL if he was the 10th best QB in the league, I wouldn't consider it a bust. Not everyone can have the best QB in the league. I think you're expectations are out of line.

Personally I don’t want the Oilers name back. There’s some stink to that name too and I literally denounced my fandom for them after Buffalo.
That old Bud Adams franchise had stink in it. But the name is better suited for Houston than any of those other names. And a new franchise could replace the stink with some good memories

If I'm taking a QB 1-1 then I'm looking for a top 5 QB.

If there isn't one in this draft then I'm waiting to 2024 when Williams/Maye who are both better prospects than any QB in this draft are coming out.

I like the Apollos, but I think the rights are owned by someone else.

I like the Roughnecks, but that's already taken.

How about the Roustabouts or the Drillers?

Some others...Explorers, Orbiters, Vanguards, Voyagers, Space Cowboys, Aeronauts, Aviators, Rocketeers, Space Walkers, Moon Walkers, Stargazers.

Oilers with updated colors that includes black as the predominant one. People would love it. Use the old uniforms for nostalgia throwback.

[/wishful thinking]

After having pervert QB of the century on the team, I'm not sure of the name "Drillers".

Speaking of lube. I hope bottles of lube rain down upon Derrick Sunday.

If I cared enough I would be there to do it myself. Staying out of Jail is why I'm not going to this game. It's not proper to yell the truth around kids.

It would be cool if one side of the stadium yelled Oiled and the other side yelled 2 fingers.

Or one side yelled Sexual and the other side yelled Pervert.

I used to make signs before I went to the games. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let me in with my sign. My brother in law is an artist.
