2007 NFL Draft Day One Thread

Man, what is he deal with every team using every second of thier alotted time for every single pick??

they want to think about it for another 10 minutes or so, because its not like they've had months to assess people and make a draft board

Eagles take Kevin Kolb?!?!?!?!

Kolb is the 3rd QB to go, that's a touch surprising.

And San Diego trades up to get Eric Weddle S from Utah, damn I liked him.

San Diedo gave up a late 2, a late 3, a 5th and a 3rd rounder next year to trade up. IS it just me or have there been a bunch of bad trades?

Of the first 34 players picked, 33 were in Gosselin's top 34.
This is nothing new. Rich Gosselin has been more accurate than most for years now. He seems more immune to the hype than most and his sources seem to pan out more often than not.

That man in my hero.
Good for you. I'll stick with Tommy Lee.

How could any woman resist?

I gave you reps earlier so I can not do it again, but damn that is funny.

Yeah more trades than normal in this year of a draft that said the talent was not there and it will be there next year.

Kolb to the Eagles makes sense. Kolb needs a couple of years on the sideline, and Reid has to have concerns regarding McNabb's ability to stay healthy.

Typical of Kiper to criticize the pick when they don't go off his board. Kolb and Beck had outperformed Stanton and Edwards all year. It was Kolb over Beck due to his upside in athleticism and age. Beck should be the next QB to go, probably to Miami or Detroit.

Really bad. I think NE and Dallas got over too. Dallas gave up some to get back up but they basically got their guy and gained a #1 next year. NE got a #1 next year and now this deal.

Beck to Miami that is a good thing for Miami but Oakland chose a TE and no OL .. that is not a goodthing for Russell.

Why did Mel not bash the Raiders, becuase he is a F'n moron.

Damn, I went 33 for 35 :hothboy: I bet I get screwed for the last 15, I only did a top 50.

Kolb didn't make my top 50, and Eriv Wright did so I know I can;t do that well the rest of the way.

Chris Houston goes to Atlanta, and he to didn't make my top 50. My bad he did at 47.

The scale in the lower right corner a person can give you props for a good or funny post. Basically like us giving you :highfive:

They had a thread a long time ago so people gave the person above you reps and yes that exploited what it is ment to be. I am not worried about anyone saying I should or shouldn;t say this or that, truth is the truth.

Indy gives up next years #1 and a 4th to trade up to get Tony Ugoh, from San Fran. ANOTHER bad trade.

And it looks like Det is going to draft Drew Stanton, the hat is on.

That would make 3 QBs in 8 picks. WOW!

Keyshawn is so full of himself. If I was Jarrett I would slap the hell out of my cousin the second I saw him.

Beason & Jarrett plus another 2nd round pick coming. The Panthers are having a good draft.

yeah, but i dont mind, its indy.

From the scouting report i read on Ugoh it said he lacks the strength to start. I'd like to see Mario Bullrush him right into Manning :mario3:

Think we can trade our 5th this year for a 2nd next year? With the way some of these trades are happening, why not?!

I hear you man, this is pretty silly how teams are trading away their picks next year. There not so valuable now but next year theyll be pretty freakin valuable, rest assured.

So what are yall thinking for round 3?
Ryan Kalil-USC C if there?
Jason Hill-WR Washington St?
Daymon Hughes-CB?
Josh Gattis-FS-Wake Forest?

This is some funny stuff. They wanted Jarret until he got taken, and then they were all over crowder. You should see their reactions to Chris Henry being selected

the mob in tennessee will be calling for some heads pretty soon :pirate:

Now some are calling for their GM to be fired. From what he's done today, it looks like he's giving casserly a run for his money.

***on a side note, it feels weird to quote myself :tinfoil: ***

I definatley don't think we should trade up. We will get enough this year. We don't want to give anymore picks and we will already be short on picks next year too. Next year we will also have some good choices in the draft, so we don't need to give them away.

we've got a ways until we pick though. much will change between now and then, rest assured.

while we have time though, what do yall think of the okoye pick. It seems like Rick Smith really wants to build a ferocious D and is trusting kubes to be able to generate a decent rushing attack out of the late round scraps and FA.

:d: :d: :d:
