CJ will be just fine. His OL was crap this season, the run game ran away when Mixon went down, TE’s were never really incorporated in the offensive attack consistently making their blocking issues a major eyesore, Slowick consistently drawing up long developing routes downfield knowing he had no OL to provide the time needed, and having no issues running his run game into a stacked defense that usually amounted to creating 3rd and long situations.
As for CJ, he had more errant passes than I would’ve liked, but I could immediately identify him not setting his feet on an almost every bad throw. That wasn’t a trait before this season, but it sure the he’ll developed into one as the season progressed…..I’m looking square at you Strausser and OL personnel. I also noted on several game gay post(s) that CJ was getting passes batted down…..on a 5 step drop, why is the defense close enough to bat a pass literally standing flat footed?
There’s so much more to this observation, but I think if the right OC and OL Coach’s are brought in, this madness will be corrected and CJ will be back on track to excelling over his award winning rookie campaign.
