Ok… agree. But he’s had lots of time to throw tonight at times. Nobody open… who’s at fault now?Sorry but CJ is the problem. Slowik is trash too but CJ has plenty of guys that he just can’t hit. I don’t want to hear **** about the oline. Plenty of great QBs overcome bad olines. Maybe his test score does matter. Ain’t smart enough to hang in this league.
Exit stage right. Play for next year!A season that started with so much promise went down hill fast! There really are no excuses. We aren't anywhere near as good as we thought we were!
Saying nobody has been open is just not true. Schultz scores if he hits him in stride.Ok… agree. But he’s had lots of time to throw tonight at times. Nobody open… who’s at fault now?
Yes he should scramble or throw it away but he’s had lots of time tonight…on many occasions. Why can’t anyone get open? I think they are looking for the explosive play too much! Would love a 8 minute, 75 yard drive every now and then

As long as you’re on Netflix. Watch Carry on…pretty good
When he’s had all the time in the world on some plays tonight why hasn’t he thrown it?It only looks like nobody is open because he doesn't throw the ball.
The new DieHard Christmas movie! As long as you’re on Netflix. Watch Carry on…pretty good
True, but today isn't on the OC.Are we surprised. Demeco hired his unproven buddy. Should have hired an established oc
I didn’t mean nobody’s open ever…. Things get lost in translation over texting….Saying nobody has been open is just not true. Schultz scores if he hits him in stride.
same with mecoStroud says the same thing every week and nothing changes regarding his play.
I seem to remember the same repeated excuses made for our last "franchise" QB..............The excuse syndrome is what you call what you’re doing.
Nope, loads of teams find out whether the QB is worth developing or not around year 5 or 6, unfortunately beyond the point when they have to commit huge amounts of their salary cap. This is an issue with the current rookie pay scale structure that is causing lots of teams problems.Whatever the problem is in regards to CJ we basically have next season to determine if he is worth keeping beyond that point!
If a math teacher doesn’t teach a student how to solve problems, should we expect the student to pass the finalTrue, but today isn't on the OC.
I think some of it is…..True, but today isn't on the OC.
Just the same there is nothing to be gained or lost for this season by taking key players out. Let's see how our backups perform in this game. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! You're not risking anything leaving them out there. No matter what happens they're going to be one and done in the playoffs and everyone should be back in time for training camp and talking like they're a real contender again in 2025.

CJ has no focus and will let injuries derail him during the game. Pouts on the sideline. There are so many issues on offense right now. It’s not one person, one coach, one play all or scheme. It’s like an all you can eat buffet of problems. Yes’m CJ stunk today, but he didn’t stink in a vacuum. He’s clearly lost confidence, both in himself, and I would argue his line and coaches,
The defense was horrible today. Generally. They have been good this year. With multiple key players out, and the offense sustaining zero…I am going to give them a pass today up against a tough opponent. Not to say they don’t share in the blame.,,but we are back to the all you can eat buffet.
It’s been clear as day all year this team was underperforming and had major offensive issues. For the most part, the Texans brain trust has moved at glacial plate speed to correct issues that have arisen. Very very very slow to make any real change. This slow to change issue is something that might be Meco’s downfall if we see them roll out the status quo in 25.
Texans are done for the season. I hope Caserio and DeMeco do their job this offseason.
Stroud is kinda soft and not the sharpest kid in the class. Good football instincts when he's given time but he's not anything special and he's sure as hell not a franchise QB. He's not carrying anyone anywhere. He's David Carr 2.0 with all the physical tools and not enough upstairs to make it work at this level. He looks good when everything is going the Texans way and he's rapidly falling apart in year two after he's "seen some s***". Added pressure hasn't led him to another level or more focus. It's just taken him down a few notches. By year four he's just going to be someone else's reclamation project. Slow will be gone. Hell DeMeco might even be gone and somebody else is going to have to find out if there's any coming back from where he is. Hopefully Nick and Cal aren't stupid enough to have given him a massive contract based on one season of rookie magic. Who am I kidding though. Of course they will.
And the OL will still be non-existent.

Oof, I'd at least give the kid Derek Carr, not David....
I have to wonder what kind of carry over last Saturday's loss of Tank had on this team. I am not saying that was the sole reason but this team just seemed flat outside of one brief momentum lift.
Well, the answer is: 2 consecutive division championships... that being said, I share your frustration. However, there is still plenty of reason for optimism for 2025 and beyond. On the plus side, the miserable way this season has unfolded should speed the learning curve for Demeco... but we will see. They've been doing what they think is best for two years now and see where that has the team?
The defense started out really bad but the safety only to have the offenses blown redzone drive stole all the momentum we had. The team was running on raw emotions from our last game and the loss of Tank Dell. Not a total excuse because we have all pointed out areas that are bad but even with that all said, we have competed in most of our losses. This game felt off from the start and it seems raw emotions on a short week hurt us to some extent!Ravens = 228 yards rushing.
Defense getting worked today.

I missed my prediction by 8 points. Not a difficult prediction after watching how the season has unfolded.
Man, I was so sure they got the coaching staff and quarterback right after last year before this season started. As the season went on, I started to wonder. Now it looks like they whiffed on both. If they did, the Texans might be rebuilding again before they even finished the last rebuild.
Another shot of Stroud slouched over on the bench pouting. It’s pathetic. Honestly I’m not paying 400-500 million for that.

Yep. He looked brilliant last year with the signing of Dell (a player many of us mocked to the Texans) but it sounds like it was his rookie quarterback that hadn't even taken a snap in the NFL at that point that was the catalyst to drafting him. That's pretty weak.If the same people start the rebuild next time I expect similar results. I already believe Caserio is a problem. He can go get what you ask him for but he's not good enough at his job to be able to tell the difference between s*** and Shinola.
DeMeco was here and saw Kubiak's mistake of hiring inexperienced DCs like Richard Smith and Frank Bush as DCs. Based on that experience alone, he should have hired an experienced OC or experienced offensive assistants to work with Slowik. I don't know why he hired Bill Lazor, Chris Strausser or even Jerrod Johnson. To my knowledge, none of them are from the Shanahan/Kubiak coaching tree or experienced in the intricacies of this offense.DeMeco is a DC playing at being a HC. It's not working. We watched Gary Kubiak do it (the other way around) and he didn't make any progress (on the D side) until McNair brought Wade in to hold Gary's hand. Will Hal and Hannah bring someone in to help create an offense that can perform? Who knows? This franchise is perpetually a day late and a dollar short.
Taking a shot at Dell was fine. He's an adequate "water bug" of a receiver who can exploit having better guys drawing more attention from the defense BUT.... He's also not built to take the pounding of the NFL. Not everybody is going to be Ernest Givins. I doubt Tank will be in football in 3 more years. He's not durable. Nothing he could do anything about even if he wanted to.Yep.
