Week 12 -Miami Fish Fry the Texans

Of course none of those other 3 win teams will win again... :boogereater:
Of course you are correct in suggesting that one or more of those 3 win teams will very likely win another game or two but as long as we finish with no more than 2 victories we are guaranteed the top pick.

Re: Allen v. Mills…and in my best Forest Gump voice…

..and just like that Brandon Cooks looked like a WR again.

Not that Kyle is the answer, but the book is closed on Mills and Allen can be a competent placeholder for now. Mills is garbage. Said it last year, repeated it early and often this year and still we have posters here that are hanging on to him like he has Taylor Swift tickets. I’m not even sure he is backup material at this point. Other than maybe Tom Savage I can’t think of another guy here worse that played more than a handful of games at most. Hell, Brock Assweiler is ten times the QB Mills is, and that was not good, but Mills is a whole mother level of sucktidude. Dude better get his RE or insurance license in the off-season.

Osweiler couldn’t touch a naked women with a football if she was 10 feet in front of him. Mills actually ranks pretty well in intermediate throws down the field.

Well, to be fair...... not many men want to throw a football at a naked woman that is ten feet from them.

I mean unless the woman is Rosie ODonnel then its not only expected but survival.

I'm interested to see how Allen will do but I believe you solve more problems with positions higher up than the QB but meh... will be hoping for a win, expecting a loss and knowing the complaining here no matter the result is inevitable.

really? The record speaks for itself. 1-8-1. Last week, they averaged less per play in the first half then the length of a football. 8 inches per play. He is first in interceptions at 11, next to last in QBR and standard QB rating,30th in points scored, and dead last in yards per game. YPA is a lousy 6.2. He is 14th in attempts but 20th in yards. So while tossing the most picks, its not because he is a gunslinger ala Brett Favre. He looks shallow to deep, and takes the safe choice most times yet leads the nfl in picks. How in the world can you be that bad? It’s nearly impossible to be much worse and still be employed by an NFL team. Allen will at least take some shots and try to loosen up the d so the run game can work again but Mills goose is cooked. He will never in a million lifetimes be a long term starter Again…here or anywhere else.

We’re not doing records with the defense allowing 200 yards in RUSHING a game.

Texans do not have a Davis Mills problem, they have a Pep Hamilton problem. My guess is Lovie will protect Stingley from facing Hill and Waddle.

The difference between the 4 - 13 Texans and 1 - 8 - 1 Texans is Tim Kelly or Pep Hamilton depending on how you want to look at it.
Tim Kelly ran the 32nd ranked offense based on yards and 30th for points right? So which version of bad do we miss? We can ship Pep out, but neither guy deserves a job and let's not wish for TK back. Texans can get better coaching all over the campus

And you realize part of that is because teams run a lot against us because they know we can’t score enough to scare them. They are playing ahead and go into 4th quarter mode by halftime if not the 2nd quarter. If you have a QB that can put points on the board and get some leads, you take the opponent out of the run first mentality. Yes we need a couple of studs in the front 7, not denying that, but you can’t look at it in a vacuum either. Draft Bryce Young and a young dynamic receiver, and miracle of miracles, suddenly the run stats will improve dramatically.

Couldn't agree more.

I’m incredibly pissed off about the World Cup and finding it extremely difficult to motivate myself to watch what I can only imagine will be a whitewash victory for Miami.

Does Kyle Allen offer anything worth tuning in for? Seeing his interview about overcoming a terrible injury made me want to pull for him but it feels like we’ve moved on to a confirmed backup from a player who had potential but has fallen short of even that level.

Most teams have a game where they win a game nobody expect them to.

Will it be this one for the Texans?
Or will it be against the Browns, the Cowgirls or the Tits?

No. They run because we can’t stop them lol

Which is why Washington couldn’t get anything going when they were throwing.

Their QB is only marginally better then the trash we have. If you think a better QB and improved weapons leading to an offense that can put points on the board with the big play, as well as play keep away on the ground when warranted, won’t help the defense put up better stats against the run, god love ya. Or as they say in Texas, bless your heart.

Doesn't matter, we have very few bright spots on either side of the ball.

Arguing D or O at this point is like debating which came first the chicken or the egg.... when you have neither.

Like having a million condoms but you look like Zuckerberg and only $2 to your name.

Looks like the Kyle Allen era has begun. I don't think it will be much different.

Lets just hope Kyle doesn't get hot here or something and screw things up because we are you know on cruise control right now heading towards that #1 overall in KC in April for the '23 NFL Draft.
You know QBs can be like, like a baseball pitcher when's he on, really on and start pulling amazing passes out of their azz.
No I don't expect us to go to Miami and win but I'm very interested to see what Kyle looks like ? Yea he might be a complete bomb, but we'll see ? Just don't rock the f...ing boat Kyle, you SOB !

Don't forget gloom! Whoooooa!:)

Still, I'm going to try find a sports bar so I can at least watch a little bit just to see how Kyle Allen does.

I'm hoping Allen has a good enough day that they let him start another game or two. I imagine Mills will be back before the season is over with, unless Allen actually surprises everyone.
