but really smells like Tyrod Taylor career okay back-up who can get you through a season here and there but is not year-in-year-out starter.
Really depends on how they design the offense.

Hurts ain’t Lamar Jackson, but the way that offense (Baltimore’s) plays with it’s back up QB is imo amazing.

don’t bring in Nick Foles to backup Hurts, get Minshew, which they did. But they need to tweak their offense just a little more to make it work.

they looked like crap today. But through the season they were fun to watch for the most part.

Hurts wasn't special at Alabama and found a little something at Oklahoma, but really smells like Tyrod Taylor career okay back-up who can get you through a season here and there but is not year-in-year-out starter.
Hurts - 16 TD, 9 INT, 7.3 Y/A, 87.2 PR, 48.8 QBR, 784 yards rushing, 10 rush TD
Mills - 16 TD, 10 INT, 6.8 Y/A, 88.8 PR, 35.6 QBR, 44 yards rushing, 0 rush TD

So Hurts can create more with the running game than Mills. Hurts has played in 30 games and had an offense designed around him. I am in the Mills might be good enough to get you beat in playoff camp. Hurts might already be there.

Well, he's played in 30 games, sure. But only 19 where's he's been the actual QB and not just in on a package deal.

I don't know if you're part of the Mills can do no wrong crowd or not, but I'm simply pointing out how the numbers are pretty similar and you've got Hurts as a career backup already, while some think Mills is the next good Schaub or better.

One QB throws accurately the other runs better. One is a rookie who hasn't played as many games in college and the NFL combined as the other QB has played in the NFL alone.

You tell me who has the better potential?
