While John McClain is on NFL radio saying Watson has not requested a trade, Schefter finds out the request was made weeks ago.
Unprecedented; what's the last time a qb in their prime wanted out from a team this bad?
Alright, fellers...I present to you Jack Easterby’s Houston Holy Spirits!
Umm since when did we call those people 'Spirits'? There's another name and it fits perfectly.
Done with this Diva.
Wasn't he tied to a Porn Star at one time?? Or am I thinking of someone else? If I'm right, this is why Cal and Company will likely facilitate his trade request.

That's the one.mia khalifa
Kind have lost a little respect for DW4 at this point too. As I stated in other threads... Dude, you had a front row seat to the dysfunction for years before you signed your deal...if there was any thought...any thought at all about wanting out then, shouldn’t have signed the deal & forced his way out that way...
See post below yours...You're thinking of Jimmy G I think.

OK -- found the answer. What am I missing here? The tweet says that the trade request was weeks ago. Didn't we already know this? How else was he going to get out if not by trade? Watson had already said that it didn't matter who the coaching hire was - his mind was made up that he wanted out. What's new?
What had not occurred yet, however, was a formal request (read: demand) by Watson to be traded, but the Texans have now reportedly received just that this week.
Watson has requested to be moved out of Houston, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, news that comes only hours after they named David Culley as the team's new head coach. It appears the actual request isn't recent and has nothing to do with Culley, and Watson has continued to shun the Texans front office in their attempts to reach him to potentially open a dialogue into resolving things. That proves Watson is indeed looking to play hardball with the Texans, and to the point he's willing to waive his no-trade clause to make sure he never takes another snap for them in the future.
Maybe I'll research her tonight...., uh no!Yup. Doing some quick research, both QBs were linked to Khalifa.
To be fair, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. AJ, who knows what's going on behind the scenes, is telling him to hold his ground.
A lot has changed since he signed that contract.

This wasn't about Bieniemy. And you know that.Duck it..let him go....if he’s that in the bag for Bienemy, go be with him wherever he lands..
so all this talk of caserio or cal talking to watson is just rubbish. WTF who do i believe
Exactly. The front office ruined this team. Not DW4. Not Nuk. Not JJ, who probably wants out as well. Cal and Jack have ruined this. Between trading away Nuk, failure to put a decent supporting cast around Watson, handing out contracts to JAGs like Mercilus and McKinney, keeping OBrien around long past time to go, and very poor communication.... this team has gone from a team on the rise, to a bottom 6 or 7 franchise. And it all could've been avoided.Regardless of how you feel, the players in the league have a ton of respect for Deshaun. He’s the kind of QB players make decisions around. They’re all now sitting front row to a dumpster fire organization ruining its biggest asset.

You can't have it both ways. You can't diminish Watson's value by holding his feet to the fire and still get a king's ransom in draft picks. Watson is holding the cards, and the Texans have no choice but to trade.
They're all operating in a Cold War environment. I could see the Texans using all of their leverage in this scenario. And lets say that happens. Watson either retires and comes back to the NFL once he's accrued the time on his contract. Or, he reluctantly returns to the team after amassing a number of fines and the Texans could have a very disgruntled quarterback infecting the locker room with negativity.
This wasn't about Bieniemy. And you know that.
Really. What changed is O'Brien was fired and Easterby tightened his grip on the organization. Someone screwed this franchise over. And it wasn't Watson. Not really. Nuk was traded before he signed his deal..that was the supposed seed of his anger. Easterby had also been here before he signed his extension.
These types of spur of the moment trade requests usually arise out of contentious contract requests..not disputes with FO personnel owners or coach searches. The fact is DW4 served himself first. I think he wanted out beforehand, but he had to get his money 1st. He got his big money extension with the no trade clause which more or less protected him from losing any money if he were to get injured during the course of the season last year and then he orchestrated his departure....like Nuk. And in doing this, he screwed the franchise over.
