Playoffs...Wild Card Round...Indianapolis Colts!

I have concerns.

Vegas thinks we are 2 or 2.5 point favorites sooo, :texflag:.

Side note: I won a cool Texans logo beer cooler on Sunday.
I'd show y'all what it looks like but this site doesn't permit such shenanigans.

I won't be suprised if the line flips the Colts way by kickoff.

Colts 27
Texans 20

I just don't like this matchup.

I wonder if the Colts fan base worry as much about Hopkins and Watson as much as some of the Texans fan base worries about Hilton and Luck?

Personally, I like the Texans chances.

About the same as here

Hopkins will get 150 yards if Geathers can't play a bunch.

Houston should be favored.
I am Hoping the texans qb has some playoff nerves since he is so young.
I think we will take advantage of their poor pass protection ,and Watson'sfirst playoff game jitters .
I am laughing at the Texans fan forum. They are shaking in their boots. Especially about Hilton.Unless his ankle makes a miraculous recovery I don’t think he will have as big of game as last time.

Playing not to lose or relying to heavy on the running game will get us beat.

Cunningham and McKinney will play a huge role in the game(s) to come. :D

RB Swings and poor positioning on their zone drops............ I mean it is there to see.

I am hoping the front 4 plays like their head is on fire cause we can't have 41 and 55 be dragged into TE coverages where they are trailing or 1 on 1 RB match up where the QB has all day to wait for the RB to get 30 yards downfield.

Get the D-line rotation active. Running Watt and Clowney ragged before the 4th quarter is a classic Texans mistake IN EVERY PLAYOFF APPEARANCE.

And where the F is Whitney Mercilus???? Lets go!!!!

Colts 37 - Texans 17
Interesting scoreline. They came down here a few weeks ago and the score was 24-21 to the Colts.
Vegas has Texans favoured by 2.5 and they are uncannily accurate - homefield advantage is worth 3 points so in reality they favour Colts by the slenderest margin of .5.

This will be a close scoring game. We know what our weaknesses are against the Colts. Hopefully we develop a gameplan that actually takes that into consideration. Texans games are always stressful to watch but I feel like we have a good shot entering the post season for the first time with a competitive qb that is used to being in the spotlight.

Texans 29
Colts 24

To each their own. I know for myself, if I was so sure the Texans would lose and lose big I wouldn’t even watch the game. Unless I wanted them to lose. So I am a bit curious, those that are positive the Texans are going to lose, will you be watching? If so, why?

For those who watched The Office, when reading some of the comments I picture some of the exchanges Michael Scott had with Toby, the HR guy. That’s the relationship I feel some have here with Bill O’Brien. Talking at BoB through the TV - “why do you choose to be the coach you are.” I might have been guilty of that myself a time or two this year. Probably the reason I skipped watching some of this seasons games.

Texans 33 colts 27

fun fact: Deshaun Watson hasn’t lost a game he started by more than 8 points since entering the college & pros. Whoever made a 34 colts 17 Texans prediction, just stop

Offense will be so much better, it won't be anymore of that boring stuff. BoB is coming out swinging.

See, I don't know where stuff like this comes from. He hasn't "shown" anything all season, hell, he hasn't shown anything in 5 years. Why do people think he's just going to flip the switch all of a sudden?

I will add however, that if Coutee is healthy, and can stay that way, it adds an element to the offense that has to be accounted for, which could help in red zone or when they're always 2nd and long.

Truth be told though, I'm more worried about the defense stopping Luck, Hilton, Ebron and Hines than I am the offense.

He showed some stuff a few times this year, but last year he did those 6 games however, I will say stay tuned!

I don’t like this matchup for our defense. Luck is going to quick pass us our good old bend and break to death. Offense is gonna have to ball out.

I think, like us, BO'b wasn't convinced this talentless team could make the playoffs much less be in the AFCCG. But when it looked like the Texans could actually win the division, 4 minutes into the 4th qtr, he opened up the playbook & started stretching his legs.

I'm not sure the Texans are going to lose; I only think so. Hopefully I am wrong, and I'll surely watch the game. This season's Texans are never out of a game.

Red Zone. I think both team move the ball. We will get one strip sack and play above average in the red zone on offense and defense to limit them just enough 27-26

Colvin and L. Miller need big games. Miller and Blue/Foreman need catch and runs. Concerned JJs arm will impact him a lot. I would not let Hilton or Ebron beat us. Joseph's injury concerns me. Mathieu, Hal and Reid need shut down middle of field. I rate odds even as of now.

In 6 playoff games Luck has 9 TD, 12 INT, 56.5% completion percentage and a 70.8 passer rating.
Well this shows Luck is a big time choke artist in the playoffs. This bodes well for the Texans since Watson shows up big time in the big games. That's another good reason to be optimistic about the Texans chances in this game.
It's simple. The Texans don't turn the ball over and the Colts do.
Go Texans!

Here's something to mull over.
Turn over differential.
The Texans are 2nd in the league to only the Seahawks at +13 while the Colts are 13th in the league at a meager +2.
Points off turnover differential
The Texans are #1 in the league at +60.
The Colts aren't even in the top 20.
In other words, the Texans are good at taking the ball away and scoring off turnovers and the Colts.....aren't.
The Texans will win the turn over battle and that will help win the game for them.
Go Texans!

The Texans won the turnover battle in week 14 and lost. If the Texans want to win, they absolutely must limit big plays in the passing game. The Texans shut down the running game and won the turnover battle but gave up 399 yards in the air and two TDs. I'd dare the Colts to run the ball. We already know they can beat the Texans through the air.

Colvin has been relegated to ST and bench duty, he couldn't even see a defensive snap last week with JJo out. Dude has been a bust FA signing
