Ok this used to be my thing..... so if one has already been made fine, BUT never again ;).

The Texans are back fully loaded and healthy, so I see a big upset in this one with our Defense dominating Brady. And WTF didn't we play them in New England last year as well, when Watson had us very close to a W ?

Oh, there it is! I was hoping your prediction thread would show up, EllisUnit. Please convey my greetings to your good-looking family. Meanwhile I already fought back the temptation to pick the Texans and predicted Expatriots 27, Toros 24 in the other thread. I'll stick to that because of home field disadvantage.
 
Predict? I have no frigging idea what the Texans are going to do. Predicting the Texans is like predicting which direction a frightened squirrel will run.

However I do believe that Watson will throw 3 TDs or more. Watson is a TD machine when he's on.
 
31 - 24 ........ Texans. QB GOAT vs DW4 aint so bad on our side. I like our DL, LBs, Safeties, maybe they get DB's and RAC is the man, so defense goes to Texans. Both OLs have major issues. TE, Gronk is a stud, we have more depth, receivers clearly Texans, RBs, JAG on both sides. Special teams usually Pats. So defense makes the plays we missed last year, Honey Badger wont drop the game winning Int in his hands
 
I say 23-30 with us pulling out that late touchdown and our defense holds Brady off till the clock runs out. (Prediction for end of season) Watson proceeds to the pro bowl, and wins offensive player of the year.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Steel B that the Texans have been exceedingly mediocre under OB with the exception of the D, under RAC, and with DW4 under center. I'm still just amazed by DW4s performance, warts and all. The dude just balls the eff out.

In the last match up, I believe coaching, in the final minutes of the game, was the difference. OB didn't have the stones to make the gutsy call that BB has repeatedly made with success and failure.
I think the one thing that stands out, to me, about BB is that he just straight up doesn't give a frick about what anyone thinks. He does what he thinks is right and everyone else can go suck an egg.

Last year, Watson wasn't the starter, the OL was far worse, the TE's sucked and the running game was suspect. Not to mention, RC was in the booth.

I'll stick to the prediction that this season, the Texans come out of the gate strong. I'd just like to see O'Brien willfully pile on if the offense proves to be too much. I think RC will turn this defense loose now that his studs are all healthy and ready to start for what.....the 3rd or 4th time since they've all been on the roster.
 
Texans play close with some lead changes, Billy O get ultraconservative in the 4th, plays not to lose instead of to win, we lose by 3.

If O'Brien, once again finds himself in a position to close out a victory against the Patriots and somehow stupefies everyone by going conservative and loses the game.....his arse will be on the burner faster than he can say, "let me start with, this lose is on me"!!!!

Patriots show why they're the patriots at home. Brady goes for 4 TD and 350 yards. Dorsett goes off. Texans lose 34-20. I drink all the whiskey and prepare for week 2.
 
Texans are -6. The over/under is 51.

Give me the points. I was going to go with the OVER, but I'm on the fence now. I think the D holds Brady to 21/24 points. I'd like to think the Texans will win it 27-21. Then I think that number is too close to the OVER. Then I remember why I don't bet on the NFL.

I just want Brady to go down, and go down hard!
 
The wildcard is the real matchup - Bill Vs. Bill. In that match-up I favor Bill. I'm pretty sure that's going to be the difference.

I favor a competitive game, and if it's close, coaching will rear it's ugly head. BOB will go into his turtle shell and peak out of it once the game is over, hoping we eek out a win. Until he proves me wrong, Bill coaches like a ninny. He's got no balls when the chips are down.

31-28 Pats on a last minute Brady to Gronk TD After BOB hands the ball back to them with another gutless HC decision.
