The drought is over, it's raining Texans football tonight!

How many of us are going to be pissed instead of happy after the game? LOL

I just want to see some semblance of an actual real offense, and a few downs with all our defensive "1"s in the lineup to see how hopefully destructive they are.

He makes up terms that don't even sound like English.........and throws out lot's of explanations that make no sense at all........lots of WTH did he say? Knows everything. Has no humor in his color, humor being a trait found in most good color broadcasters.

Our offense should show a lot of improvements once Deshaun Watson comes into the game. Really looking forward to that the most. I already know what Tom Savage can do. Or can't do rather...

Eager to see Watson and Foreman on offense, obviously. I'll be watching our tackles, Nick Martin, and our safeties closely. Those groups have a lot of potential for movement in the depth chart. Cunningham and Watkins will also be interesting to watch.

I can't recall ever being as excited as I am now to see one of our Draft classes. Sure Watson and Foreman but all of the rest of them led by Davenport & Cunningham, even some undrafted rookies we signed. Thank God football, NFL football is back tonight !
 
I'm curious to see the defensive identity with Vrabel as DC, obviously hard to see with a vanilla preseason game plan but it will keep me enthralled.
 
Temper your expectations regarding tackling. CBA rules regarding padded practices and first preseason game lend itself to sloppy tackling. Happened last preseason and then the Texans were the best tackling defense in the league. Patience!
 
Speaking of missed tackles, McCafferty worries me.
He could make our LBs look pretty bad.

Also going to be hard to see when the starters play just a series or 2 and a ton of players rotating in and out the whole game. If you're looking for fluidity and identity, a pre-season game is the wrong place to be looking.
 
It's back! We have football in just 4 more hours. I'm looking to see which of the rookies and 2nd year players can stand out. We'll get a brief look at the starters. Hopefully we can see some improvement over last year from our offense.

My company would dispatch me to Odessa Texas on game freaking day. But that's ok because I should be there right on time for kickoff.
 
Might be more of us (clemson fans)than panther fans tonight. Everywhere you look you see orange.

Go Texans! Onward thru the fog, mates! Dont stop till you see the light and land and your final season destination. Tonight you set sail and may go through some storms but it will all clear at end. Its too late t turn around and go back Go Texans Go!
 
I can't say how many times I've watched JJ run around the whole field within the last 30 minutes.

I always think of that "Thunderstruck" scene from the 1999 movie Varsity Blues every time we get ready for a preseason game. Hopefully none of our guys are hungover LOL


Our offense better not resemble the West Canaan Coyotes!

As I've previously posted, it will be much more difficult for him to build muscle/strength after his chemo body tear down..........very likely to max out much lesser than what he might have done without his cancer.
 
I've been quite after the draft. I'm trying something new.

1.) I took my mind totally off of football until OTA started.
2.) When OTAs started, I took my mind totally off of football.
3.) I only read about training camp a couple of days ago.

I've gotten so much done. My audio system is kicking ass. I've had no Kool-aid.

I'm just going to take the season as it comes.
 
Since the game is under blackout restrictions I won't be able to watch the game live. NFL Network has to skip over it for their show A Football Life.

Doesn't appear to be any live feeds worth a dime either.

NBC here in san antonio playing the preseason games. Yay seriously when Quesenberry does play it would make awesome
 
One would think that with all of these football millionaires that there would be a pair of quality headphones among them. I see that all of the time before a game, the guys walking into the stadium, craps cans and earbuds.

(And no, Beats be Dre don't count)
