thats why i mentioned it. zumba instructor is no joke.I've done zumba. Zumba instructors could definitely pass conditioning drills, whatever they are
My sources tell me conditioning tests happen in mandatory minicaps or before training camp. They consist of timed wind sprints.
OB's reference to the all/most of the rookies not being in shape just means they were getting gassed in practice.
Don't assume VW is out of shape because of his size. As he says, I got a big stomach but it's sitting on a linebacker's body under there.
My sources tell me they run timed gassers of varying lengths per team.My sources tell me ...I, too, would be intrigued to find out some ballpark idea of where these expectations lie...
Who said he could? My sources say nobody....there is no way in hell he can outrun Strong or any WR in the league.
dam dude. you got some good sources. gunna work on these drills so i can fulfill my dream of getting to the nfl. i can beat out those fat linemen in chicago. My sources tell me they run timed gassers of varying lengths per team.
The Bears conditioning test...
The 300-Yard Shuttle Run
For this test, you need 50 yards of running room.
- Start at the goal line.
- Run to the 50-yard line. Touch the line.
- Run back to the goal line. Touch the line.
- Perform the down-and-back sequence three times for a total of 300 yards.
- Rest for two minutes.
- Repeat the 300-yard sequence.
- Rest for two minutes and repeat the 300-yard sequence once more.
The goal is to complete each of your three Shuttle Runs under a certain time based on the position you play. Here are the time targets Trestman uses:Who said he could? My sources say nobody.
Position Players: complete each Shuttle Run in 58 seconds or less.
Small Linemen: complete each Shuttle Run in 64 seconds or less.
Big Linemen: complete each Shuttle Run in 68 seconds or less.
Playoffs, you are a star collating all this information and bringing it to the board. My sources tell me they run timed gassers of varying lengths per team.

I hope this isn't what we do. Running for 58-68 sec full out is not at all representative of what you need to be in FB shape. I'm not sure why they haven't moved away from the old school gassers
