Texans roster moves

Well... if we trade him... maybe that will make room so we can bring Harris back.

:vincepalm:

Ok you need to get your arse in the

I see no benefit trading JJo. Seriously, whats the point? He won't net us anything of signiicance, but he is probably our best corner :vincepalm:

For me to make that move, they'd have to offer me something really, really crazy. Like a 2nd round pick. Maybe even a first.

Moving JJo now is almost like waving a white flag on this season. Going with KJ, Bouye, and Mack... wow... that would be rough.

Everyone is talking about Foster not making it very far this season, what makes anyone thing JJo and his toe would pass a Jet physical? He's missed as much time as Foster.(this PS)

Foster's a loof?

Some of my best friends are loof's.
I encountered Lirpa Loof once but do not brag about that association. Brown is supposedly still good catching some passes and blocking. I guess we will see but did not have him on my final roster.

Met him personally, have you?

I can only go off what he shows us----and that's okay. If he doesn't want people thinking those things, then maybe that's not what his personality should appear to be.

I'm perfectly fine judging people we don't know based on what they give us to work with. If I ever met him and he showed me something else, I'd change my opinion. But I'm not meeting him anytime soon, am I? If I did, I'd ask him why he acts the way he does if he's so cool in real life.

.........trading Joseph would be a disaster. This secondary is **** as is.

What does that have to do with anything unless you were around him for a significant amount of time. Meeting someone doesn't tell you much. A lot of failed marriages would have never happened if people could get a good read on someone's character just by meeting them.

Does the waiver wire have to close before we hear anything about any players we want to claim?

How many loofs does it take to make a loofah? ( I have one in my shower, but too lazy to count)
Foster is a hippy turd. Don't we all remember what happened when hippies were allowed to gather in South Park???
They turded?

Things can leak, especially from claimed player side, but I'd think team would wait until all is finalized before notifying players being cut.

Can Champ Bailey play FS?
IMHO, he'd be better off latching onto a team as a coach. I'd love to have his experience here to help our younguns. But, coming off an injury like he is, I doubt he's fast enough to cover quick RBs or some of the faster TEs.

Wasn't starting the season with Fitzpatrick at QB waving the white flag on the season .....

I expect the secondary to look much better this season , even if they took a step back talent wise .... because the front 7 should be much improved making the ass end look better in the process.

Hey, Corrosion, good to see you back! We could use some additional good insights on the Board. Always look forward to your input.

After 3 pm CST on Tuesday, NFL teams can place 1 player on injured reserve, designated to return.

Starting in 5 minutes, NFL teams can start signing players to their practice squad. Increased from 8 players to 10 this season.

Teams have 5 more minutes (11 pm CST) before the claiming period ends for players that were subject to waivers. Vested vets are free to sign

Houston did however, have to wait to hear if any of their waived players were claimed, before making practice squad moves official.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 1m

It's allowed them the opportunity to plan for the majority of yesterday evening & this morning on the corresponding moves.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 14s

The Texans are in the rare situation of knowing that anyone they put a claim on, would automatically be awarded to them.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 42s

On that date, claiming of waived players will be based on 2014 record of clubs by inverse order. Worst record gets first priority - best rec

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 13s

Beginning on Tuesday, Sept 23rd, the claiming priority changes. The Texans will have #1 priority based on '13's record until that date.

No it wasn't. We had to have a change at QB. This had to occur early enough so the new QB could go through OTA's and training camp. Now you may disagree on their QB selection, but simply because you disagree does not mean the organization is throwing in the white flag. They chose the best QB, in their opinion, that was on the market and whom they thought could best pick up and execute OB's offensive scheme. What about this indicates they threw in the white flag? Now, they could have selected a QB with their first draft selection, with the intent of starting him his rookie season and that, in my opinion, would have represented throwing in the white flag.

Contrary to many opinions on this board, you cannot just pick up any QB off the waiver wire or in a trade and expect that QB to come in and replace Fitz without any time to learn the offense. It's been acknowledged since OB came on board that his scheme is intricate and has a steep learning curve. Why this is overlooked or not commented on in the calls to pick up a QB off the waiver wire, with the real season about to start in one week, is beyond me. Doing something like this would be throwing in the white flag and I think the organization feels they can compete for a playoff spot with the current personnel.

I'm seeing we've claimed OT Jeff Adams from the Titans and Darryl Morris, a CB from the Niners.

EDIT: And I somehow missed that Playoffs had reported it 18 minutes before. It wasn't showing up as something waiting to be read.

They are both young, very young, and I like that because we are looking to the longer term at this point. We might know something about Adams since he was on a division rivals roster and Morris is from San Antonio so he should like being back at home. He's a 49er, I dunno wonder if he played Thursday night ?
So who do we release to make room for these guys ?

49er fan unhappy losing Morris...

@JaysonBraddock go to hell. he was ours.

Vincent Frank ‏@VincentFrankNFL
Morris is raw, but has unlimited potential. That's a really good get.

Dave Zangaro ‏@DZangaro
Can confirm #Texans claimed CB Darryl Morris off waivers from SF. He ran a 4.33 at his pro day last yr. Hear a few teams wanted him today.

Nothing striking so far; just two young guys with some upside.

Who are they gonna cut to make room for these guys though?

Victorian and Yeatman?

I would hope Mack and Clabo. I really like Victorian on coverage teams .

If true, this is the one QB that can replace Case for the #2 spot. Savage would remain #3. I'd be for this trade, but it's still hard for me to think Belichick would go into a playoff season with a rookie at #2.

Honestly, I see Mallett as the starter and Fitzpatrick as the temporary backup.

If it works out this way, it's a HUGE gamble by the Texans.

How is it a huge gamble? They traded a 6th round pick for him and it's not like Fitzpatrick or Keenum are any better.

When Mallet gets situated with his new teammates then he will start. Fitz will be game one starter, after that anyone's guess?
