Bucs getting a new uniform look (again)

It's supposed to be unveiled on Thursday night.

I toured their facilities last week and saw a bunch of mock up helmets in a case in the front. However those choices from their previous makeover.

Looks pretty good, but I would prefer they go back to the bright orange/pink of the late 80s. That was a unique colorscheme.
 
I don't get the idea of teams changing cool uniforms.

The first Bucs uni I get. That thing was hideous from the logo to the colors.

But the current ones are great, but to each his own, I guess.
 
I think for one game a year, the two teams playing each other should swap uniforms for that one game. Furthermore, on the last game of the season, a lottery is held on the field before the game to determine which one of the players on the teams rosters is the QB for that game. The actual QBs will not be in the lottery.

They'll be called the chrome domes.

Personally, I wouldn't change a thing about their current uniforms, except to possibly go with that tri-hat emblem that the previous poster liked, but stay with the same colors. They are unique and they've got a nice theme going. Their old 80's uni's were horrible, mainly because the orange on orange on orange sucked.

I think at least 5 teams have made "minor" changes since Nike took over. I think this is more about a money grab than anything else.

I did notice on Buccaneers.com right after the season they had a clearance on all of their items around 50% off and some fans commenting that they weren't restocking anything (hats, shirts, etc). I thought that was odd, however now it makes sense.

I just hope they don't go Dolphins or Jags. Those other 2 teams here really screwed up their looks.

Yeah, those Jags 2-tone helmets are ridiculous.

I just don't think the emblem goes with a white helmet and liked the colors they had (for them). I don't think it goes with chrome either. Now the Cowboys could go with chrome. It'd just be more reflective.

Couldn't agree more. I love the somewhat sinister colors and look. Kind of pirate-like, imo.

It's going to be funny when a Bucs player complains from sun glare off that chrome just inches from his face.
 
It's like the Arena League and XFL had a baby...and it spit up this uniform. Horrible.

Bucs vs Jags will be a real eyesore now. It's a disgrace. It's like a New Jersey wedding. Did "Tony Bagels" wife pick out the designs? Will each Northern Florida franchise also have a mobile home motif for the stadium in addition to these new uniforms?
 
The Titans started all this arena-league shoulder pads color crap and now its creeping everywhere in the NFL. It sucks.

ah yes, Northern Florida and the hills of Tennessee....the NFL trailer collection - not that there's anything wrong with that (the mobile homes, not the uniforms).

Why in the world would someone use digital clock fonts for a team that should have a pirate theme? Horrible.
 
That thing is hideous. Not as bad as the Jags uniform, but definitely a step in that direction.

Hopefully the McNair's never get goofy with the Texans uniforms. I can live with the occasional all one color themed home games. But having to watch every game and associate as a fan with a team that is sporting an Arena-style uniform would just be embarrassing.
 
I actually don't think it's all that bad, but the digital-watch style numbers ruin the whole thing.

The Jags uniform isn't bad either, the helmet is just absolute ****.
 
If the brown is actually pewter which it will be more clear in the sunlight, it's not as hideous as I initially thought. However still not good.

Ugh... freaking Nike. I think they think that everyone wants to look hideous like the Oregon Ducks. Just awful stuff.

The new US Mens National Team soccer jersey is garbage too. I can't get an image right now but it looks like a golf shirt.

I also see that the Nike logo keeps getting bigger and bigger. At some point in the future, any team with a Nike contract will just have to wear giant swooshes that are different colors.
 
This is coming from someone that actually likes the Jags Uni's so.....grain of salt...

But that Uniform is terrible.

I mean, They have a "faster" look to them than the old uni's....But the numbers, that big ass logo...the randomness of the colors seeping out of the crevices...

It's ugly.

And where are y'all getting brown from? there isn't anything in any of these uniform pics that look brown to me...Maybe I'm color blind to brown...
