2013 TT Member Mock Draft Discussion

Sorry I've been out of the office, thoughts on who Cleveland should pick? I wish that people would live up to their commitments.

The Browns could use another CB, I vote Steve Williams CB California, Wiliams had some of the best numbers at the combine and was better than his more highly CB partner Anthony. He will be a good nickle CB in the Brice McCain mode.

Draft so far....

Cleveland Browns
1) Chance Warmack - OG, Alabama
3) Markus Wheaton - WR, Oregon State
4) Brandon Jenkins - DE/OLB, Florida State
5) Leon McFadden - CB, San Diego State
5) Nico Johnson - ILB, Alabama

They need a FB, backup RB, K, P, TE, CB and of course QB.

Is Zach Line still available? He would be a good pick for them.

well hate to say it but feel they traded Colt to go after a Geno Smith. someone to challenge the aging Weeden who looks more the part of a back-up. since he has not drafted a QB to replace McCoy at least a developmental guy at the least. haven't check the picks list but like Zac Dysert, Miami Ohio if he is still here? Landry Jones is too muck like Weeden but is younger.

Oh damn, you're right. Zach Dysert should have been picked long ago. Definitely BPA for the Browns here in the 6th. Go with that.

Browns select Zach Dysert, QB, Miami-Ohio

176th pick in the NFL Mock Draft the Arizona Cardinals select Cooper Taylor S Richmond.

Taylor was 2nd team all ACC before transfering to Richmond. He ran a 4.46 at his pro day 229 Lbs. Obviously he's smart he went to Ga. Tech. The 6th rd is a really good time to take a flier on a guy with Taylors abilities.

He had a little medical condition which I don't know if it might recur or not; otherwise, I think he will be drafted much earlier.
We'll see what happens in the real draft.
This is another thing that we have no knowledge off that might drive the draft.

with pick #177 the buffalo bills solidify their LB corps reuniting fellow Scarlet Knights OLB linebaker & 3rd rd. pick Khaseem Green with teammate ILB Steve Beauharnais, Rutgers 6007 240 -

Looking forward to making my 6th and 7th RD picks

Truly though it is shocking to get this far and this fast.
Most member mocks starts slow, go slow, and end slower.

This one has been very impressive with SteelB and Texan76 running it

since this is the last pick for Bills bong/BL I would just like to add some finishing thoughts.

really feel for Chan Gailey fine football coach I've always admired but you as they say out with the old in with the new. Doug Marrone former HC at Syracuse where they play the most boring & bland football I've ever had to suffer through, is a defensive minded coach. not sure who selected Oday but it wasn't me, not surprising he goes with players in his conference he understands their game & potential, Greene/Webster/Beauharnais. they all fit together & help build a base to a defense that lost a lot of players Nick Barnett was released, Shawn Merriman retired & Kirk Morrision is a free agent. Plus they brought in Mike Pettine as defensive coordinator, lucky to escape Rex Ryan hulk in New York to begin a new identity. These have to be results driven picks based on Ralph Wilsons age if nothing else. Give me three late picks that is about the best I can do within the confines given.

AS stated earlier there is a push to get Geno Smith, doubt they would go Barkley route though I like his ability just not a bill worthy player (Bills fans feel free to copy & past say BL says hello). No I think they will hope for one of the LT's to slip probably Johnson then my man Marrone can draft his own QB Ryan Nassib.

My question here to you, Texan fans, is would you like to trade down with Buffalo, pick #27 for pick #41 & Bills 2nd rd. selection in 2014? If your Rick Smith would you do this deal?

If they gave me a 2013 4th also. If not I want a 2014 1st. Like Cleveland gave Dallas a few yrs ago.

Considering the talent level in this draft, I'd make that trade. I'd be looking for high value at DT or WR with that #41 pick, and lets face it that 2nd round pick next year is probably going to be even better than #41. I'm guessing next years 2nd will be in the area of pick #35-38. Next years 1st and two 2nd's would be some good ammo. for moving up to get a new QB next year.

So the Jets are on he clock this morning at 7:00 A.M.right?

So far, Jets had selected OLB, SS, OG, RB, and TE.
They have two picks left.

On the Jets MB, they had an ongoing mock draft.
The Jets have selected 5 players so far with matches at 4 positions.

The exception is instead of a RB, they get QB Tyler Bray in the fifth round (WOW, they don't think very highly of him, do they, Steelb? LOL.)

If dsr23 gets busy at his shop, I propose a QB at this spot.

The NY Jets select Chris Harper, WR, Kansas St.

Harper is a coordinated athlete with above average body control and focus, tracking the ball beautifully and snatching it out of the air with his reliable hands. Harper isn't overly explosive and is more of a one-speed player, but has been improving each game as a route runner and is an effective perimeter blocker with a strong core for the position. While not a track star, Harper has good-enough football speed and is one of the more underrated receivers for the 2013 class.

Great pick this late in the draft.

Harper reminds me of a young Hines Ward.

Thanks steelb. I think he just needs a little polish and a little NFL coaching and he'll be a contributor in this league for quite a while.

Yep, he's already a great blocker and has strength to get off the LOS. He's got 4.6 type speed.

Harper is the type of guy I could see the Texans going for at this point in the draft to replace Walter. Harper is a little rough around the edges because he started out as a QB and made the transsition to WR. You know who else did that? Boldin/Ward

LOL, looks like BPA with all the needs.
I checked out a few MBs, and I saw these needs left:
CB, safety, edge rusher, TE, OG, OT.

OLB Devonte Holloman or CB Brandon McGee.
Are they still available?

This was from yesterday:

If nobody suggests anything else, I will go with Holloman at 11:15 A.M.

Raiders select Devonte Holloman, OLB, South Carolina

These are from today:

Are you OK with this pick, srrono?

The pick that was made should stand OAK needs OLB.

With the 174th pick in the NFL Mock Draft the Oakland Raiders select David Bass DE/OLB Missouri Western.

I think he was OK with Holloman, why do you make the change to David Bass? LOL!

I really enjoy the diverse opinions and analysis of prospects
Everyone has who they like and don't like

A lot of good information from the member mock
Been a absolute pleasure

I don't know much about Simon even though I watched quite a bit of LSU tapes,
I was busy concentrating on the other guys - too many of them, really.

I imagine a tall CB is a good thing.
I need to go back and watch him.

I think McFadden, Webster, and Cummings make three nice target possibilities for the Texans in the late round.

I really like Cummings, He's got the size of a SS and the speed of a CB. He just needs to focus a little better.

Cummings in the 4-5th rd range would be an upgrade over Alan Ball. Steve Williams is built like McCain and is probably better than Brandon Harris.

With their 6th round pick, the New Orleans Saints select

Ryan Otten, TE, San Jose State

Depth behind Jimmy Graham.

Not sure about Harris yet. He seems to have made some stride toward the end.

I think I'd like for the Texans to go with a big physical corner though.
