Nike: Outfitters for the NFL and your Houston Texans

NFL and more importantly Texans jerseys and uniforms announced and unveiled tomorrow (4/2). Some apparel are out now for sale but the new updated jerseys won't be on sale until about 2 weeks after the announcement. I'm looking forward to it as I did not like the Reebok jerseys at all (sizing, quality, etc.). So far, New Era has done a good job with the hats and the Nike clothing is exceptionally better (IMO of course - due to fitting and material DRI-FIT). As of now, it's expected that there won't be a dramatic change in uniforms but gradually over the next 2-3 years they may be. As long as they don't go all out like they do for the Oregon Ducks, I'll be all for a bit of a change. And no, the renderings that were done last year (that were all outlandish and cartoony) were not official or done by Nike, just fan renderings.

and yes i'll admit that I'm a bit bias towards Nike, but as far as fitment and material goes on the tee shirts, I haven't heard of many people who prefer the Reebok stuff.

Can't wait to see the jerseys. Don't expect too much of a change in the total look but i think they'll look more modern and more badass.

Same. I don't expect any bold changes, but the materials should be quite different as well as the fit of the jerseys. I could never get with the Reebok's as they were GIGANTIC as far as sizing, and inconsistent as well.
 
Take the N out, and it becomes "Houston Kows". Seems more appropriate. Too bad we don't have a stupid catch phrase like "Who Dat" or "Who Dey"...
 
Yeah I like them. Post the jerseys once they are released.

Those personalized gloves are bad ass too!
 
Umm I thought Nike was unveiling the jerseys this morning? I've looked EVERYWHERE and I still can't find them..? Can someone give me a link if they've seen it already please?

the dolphins unis have been leaked already, nick scurfield has said hes seen the texans uni already and there arent any dramatic changes other than build quality and materials..

Yeah they leaked, but no images to the public yet. Only images that have popped up are

and as I said, no dramatic changes for the first couple years as the NFL requested that, but minor gradual changes will occur. Better quality, materials, and sizing is all I ask. But so far, the tees/shorts are already better, IMO of course.

The quilted jackets look SLAMMIN! Very 1980s. In all seriousness, I really REALLY like the quilted jackets.

Apparently some will and some won't. Seahawks were rumoured to be the most revolutionary though, and whilst I'm no fan of the colour scheme I quite like the look of the uni, especially if it was in Texans colours anyway.

Can't see the Texans but they all look very similar from what I can see (other than Seattle obviously!)

Yeah, there was some mock-ups that a guy did...showing NFL uniforms if they were all Oregon'd up. I mean, other than the Eagles, Falcons, and Raiders mock-ups, the other teams' Oregon-style unis looked odd to me. Especially the Pats which looked like Captain America or something.
 
Shoes. I don't remember teams having color-schemed/coordinated shoes before.

In the photo of all the players standing there, the shoes look colorful. COOL!

IIRC, shoes were either black or white last year. Right?

We've seen it before during uniform unveilings.

They'll hire guys that have the same build as certain players to walk out there and show off the swag. They're usually wearing a helmet anyway, so it covers up their face.

I figured that would definitely be the case where you had to have representatives from EVERY NFL team there, but bravo to them for getting 32 NFL stars at the same place at the same time during the offseason. That probably wasn't easy.

It looks like they increases the width of the red stripe on the shoulder, and alos the red stripe on the collar. Call me dissappointed.

Although I don't want to see Oregon Duck craziness, I would like to see something more modern for the Texans. I think some of the Seattle elements are cool, oh well.
 
Well, it looks like Courtland Finnegan wasn't there for the Rams....because I don't see AJ standing over some fright wig headed fake Irishman as he beats the hell out of him.

EDIT: Is that Finnegan I see??!?! #31 in False Start's pic he posted?!?!?!

WTH? Finnegan is the Rams representative for the photo shoot? Not Bradford and not Stephen Jackson. FINNEGAN? Fisher must have a huge man crush on Finnegan.
