The match mine exactly. If you ignore the wildcard game and add the other 2 playoff games together the should come to whatever you are being charged.
Got it, I was adding the wrong games. Duh.

I still don't understand the point of owning a PSL.

Paid in full![]()
I still don't understand the point of it though or why any fan would pay it. If you purchase season tickets then that is supposed to be your right to that seat for every game you have a ticket for. Is it so you can have the first right to that same seat the very next year or what? Other than that, I don't really see why anyone should have to pay that. It's like having to pay for season tickets twice.
A personal seat license, or PSL, gives the holder the right to buy season tickets for a certain seat in a stadium. This holder can sell the seat license to someone else if they no longer wish to purchase season tickets.[1] However, if the seat license holder chooses not to sell the seat licenses and does not renew the season tickets, the holder forfeits the license back to the team. Most seat licenses are valid for as long as the team plays in the current venue.
Seat licenses have been given various names- the most common term in North America is Personal Seat License and in Europe is Debenture. The primary reason sporting venues offer PSLs is that the proceeds are used to help pay the debt incurred during the construction of the stadium or arena. Opponents of PSLs see this as another way to extract money from the sports fans.

Look here.
All of the seats in color require a psl in order to purchase the season tickets. I chose to sit in a section where a psl is required.
Anyone know what BullPen/Endzone seats are going for?
...and in the short term, you'll pay less $. In the long term (I've had mine 10 years), you'll likely pay much more.TO me you're still paying double or even triple what it costs to own season tickets. I would never pay the price for a PSL. That's inflating a cost if I've ever seen one.
I just buy tickets for specific games I want to see and I can do that for all 8 games if I want to and I'll never have to pay a PSL fee.

Wow, Hardcore made me go look.
The seats in my section on the market are going for $4K - $7K per seat. Not a bad return on investment if I choose to sell. Original investment of $1.2K per seat.
Mine are selling in that range too. Nice to know if I go broke and had to sell them that I could for a profit. I would have to be destitute to do so![]()

You can do that, but you are probably paying way over face value for each of those purchases you are making for each game.
LinkHere's the bottom line Texans fans: Just like Carolina, the Texans (or per the language in the PSL agreement, "Harris County-Houston Sports authority d/b/a 2002 Stadium Fund, or its assigns") can revoke the PSLs of season ticket holders who do not purchase playoff tickets. Our PSL contracts were drawn up by the same people that drew up the Panthers PSL contracts and it's a similar agreement.
Lots of legal mumbo jumbo, but again the bottom line is pretty simple. PSL owners are required to buy their season tickets every year in order to keep their PSL seats. We already knew that.
But seeking clarification on the playoff ticket part, I spoke to a representative from the Texans today who informed me that just like in Carolina, PSL owners will be required to buy playoff tickets otherwise the PSL could be revoked.
The representative said that message would be clearly communicated to PSL owners when they receive playoff invoices to avoid the surprises that occurred in Carolina.
LOL, I need to keep this info away from my husband. We have 5 seats and enjoy bringing extra friends and family to fill the seats. He would sell our extras in a heartbeat.
I though I remembered this who shebang somewhere....AJ had it on the Examiner over two years ago:

Gotta give 'em credit they were pretty unequivocal about it. I just ownder how the PSL legalese stands up (in court) with DEMANDING that you pay within 16 days of notice? I don't know about anyone else, but that's a pretty da** tight window for me. Spoke w/ the Ticket office and they have ZERO interest in discussing any extension of that timeframe. They are getting tons of calls on it right now (per the agent), but they've been told not to budge an inch.
According to the letter sent out that I got it said that they can't extend the date due to the time frame and getting tickets printed and sent out. The timing does suck but I'm for paying it!! I've been a PSL holder for 10 years and I was the happiest person in Houston yesterday getting a bill for $877! That is one bill I was ready for and accepted it with a smile!!
GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will check my mail when I get home to see if my invoice is in the mail, and if not I will go online and handle things from there. With the possibility of both my teams going to the playoffs, December could turn out an interesting month for my finances.
I'm surprised that I haven't received anything from the Cowboys in the event we make playoffs with such a short window. I purchased tickets two years ago, but don't recall the timeline to purchase. However, I did go back and read my agreement and it is a little different on obligations for playoff tickets. If the PSL holder chooses not to purchase playoff tickets, they will be offered to the public. If the tickets aren't sold, the PSL holder will receive an invoice for payment. Then future season tickets will not be sold until the invoice is cleared. I need to read further as I imagine the next step would be the forfeit of the PSL.
It's highly unlikely that the Cowboys will win their division and get a home game.

Same here!! I have six seats in the Bullpen, and been waiting for this invoice for 10 yrs. Don't think I've ever seen so giddy clicking online and hitting the PAY button! Hell, I wanted to throw a party!! I've had my "playoff" nest egg secured for a long long time, and there was NO way I was going to touch it, before yesterday! I've NEVER stopped believing I would see this day come! NOW, I just hope our Texans complete this journey! I DO NOT want a refund or see my money go on next years tickets. I WANT TO SEE A PLAYOFF GAME IN HOUSTON, hopefully two!! This is a lifelong dream, and I'm gonna enjoy every minute!!
Thought I'd put this up here too. I have $3200 invested in 4 bull pen seats.

I'm definitely getting mine, it was just the timing that sucked and the whole 16-day window thingy was/is irritating.
Guys the Jim Mora rule still applies..."Don't talk about the playoffs" you'll jinx us!
Kinda like not talking to the pitcher when he's throwing a no-hitter.![]()

Gma...now you can never call me rich anymore. You are paying for 6 tickets by yourself..... lol.
$2,508 is my invoice.......
I feel so cheap
I still don't understand the point of owning a PSL.
You know I would help you out if you really were in need, just as my fellow Blue Crew did for me when times were tough.
I am seriuos about getting to the playoff game, since I bought my original PSL in 1999 and was a Bullpen season ticket hilder till I could not afford to drive from ATX and pay for it, I now need to get back as any Texans fan would do who has supported the team all these years.
