Game Day Tread - Texans vs. Jags - 12/6/09

The only way to win, is on the shoulders of our defense, and the legs of
our runningbacks. SHUT GROSSMAN DOWN!!!

Quick observations.....I thought MJG landed on a defender and got in on 3rd. I agree with someone who said this might save Kubiak...build in excuse. Lastly, Kubes should be gone just from seeing Moats run vs what he does by sticking Brown in. Pass blocking or not, one is superior. Are the Texans playing Rice...nice stadium with no one in it

If we can hold them out long enough for Rex and the WR to get a little rhythm going, we could get it done. No rhythm, no win.

Grossman is good enough to beat the Jags if our defense can keep it up. If not, bye bye winning season.

MJG's butt hit the ground with the tackle and then he hopped over the line. It was the right call.

Offense 101

Lesson 294: On a slant route passing play. The quarterback must throw the ball in front of the receiver for the play to be effective.

I appreciate the football lesson but I still think that the "best receiver in the NFL" should catch balls that hit them in the hands. Just my opinion. Doesn't he lead the NFL in drops?

And we're burnt by a rookie!

But it is also the coaches' job to make sure your backups are ready to go just in case. Kubes should have put in a backup QB against the Raiders and Bills when we had big leads. He also should have put in a backup against the jets when we were down big. As a head coach you have no idea who will get hurt/who will not. Each player must be ready to step in.

Grossman looked like a guy that hasn't taken a snap since the 4th preseason game.

Defense can only do so much with offense going 3 and out every single time.

We must score here or season could be over.

ppl expecting Andre to catch that one are being unrealistic, horrid throw

As I stated in the Gross Man thread, I think most of us could have made that throw to Andre. At least I am certain I know that I could have. Definitely not Dre's fault.
