1st: major props on the header. I was trying o explain to my fiance why I hated the Titans to no avail.

2nd. Not so much then Ravens won this game as he Titans lost it....which made it all that much more sweet.
 
So what is the over under on Fisher getting fired?

And dont say it cant happen, this is Adams we are talking about.

I just told my wife that after 30 yrs of devotion if she ever left me in the middle of the night for some toofless loser (Nashville) then I would never root for her and I'd wish nothing but misery. She got the point.

As much as I hate the Titans, and Bud; I've got nothing but respect for Fisher. If Bud fires him, it'll just be another reason to hate that waste of DNA.

It's not totally out of the realm of possibility especialy since Fisher benched his boy.

I think everyone knows Fisher doesn't want VY as his QB and Bud wants VY playing as a pawn in his personal vendetta game against the city of Houston.

It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

I don't think there is any chance Fisher gets fired, but the QB situation is going to be a HUGE issue in TN this off-season. Collins is a FA. Before the game he said he was rejuvenated but he either wanted to start or retire--no more backup QB for him. He didn't lose the game today. How do they gracefully hand the keys back to VY?
 
I know I'm disliked being a Cowboy fan but I'm pissed the Titans lost. Sue me. They screwed themselves with turnovers. Maybe I'm a bitterman but I hate for great games to be decided by crap refs but it happens yearly. The delay of game and all just sours me on a great smash mouth game. That was 3rd down and huge. It wasn't just a split second. It was at least 2 seconds after hitting 0. So the Titans screwed up with the turnovers inside the 30 but that doesn't mean they deserve to get effed by the typical old cadaver refs.

They aren't my favorite but I respect Fisher and the the way the Titans play and I just hate question marks because of something that really changed games. /the Titans wouldn't have had to worry about it with the TOs though

Sure, its all the refs fault. Nothing to do with the three turn overs and a missed field goal.

I'm actually glad the Ravens won. BUT... I thought Flacco stepped on the end line in the end zone. That should have been a safety and would have made the game 10-9 and the Ravens would have had to kick to the Titans. That looked like a really bad call to me.

I wonder how many Titan fans are screaming, "the refs screwed us!!!." That delay of game non-call on 3rd & 5 changed the game no doubt. Its awesome! :heh:

After the game they showed a close up of Flacco in the end zone. He wasn't close to being out.
 
titan fans have now got to be wondering if the curse thing is true. they did have a heck of a team this season, and to not make it any farther...well, it has got to hurt and mystify the simple hillbilly folks.

Reread my post that you quoted.."They screwed themselves with turnovers."Try RIF. I couldn't give a rats ass if you guys hate the Titans. The call was b.s. BUT wasn't the determining factor...just a factor that was badly timed and it kept a game winning drive alive. Its not like it is a call that can be argued..they effed up while the clock was at 0. Statutory penalty. Damn.

I don't think he stepped out, but a safety may have worked out better than punting.

I wanted the Ravens to win too. I don't think Flacco stepped out of bounds in the end zone, and one of the networks (either CBS or Fox) showed a replay of it. You could see green grass between his foot & the white chalk of the end zone. It was 2 or 3 inches but it was clearly not a safety.

With the way the game played out probably the play of the game for the Ravens was the challenge by Harbaugh on the completion to Scaife that was overturned on review. It backed the Titans up 5 or 6 yards and made the FG attempt that much more difficult. Bironas missed it to the left.
 
Flacco didn't step out, it wasn't even close when you see that overhead endzone shot.

However the Ravens were about 2 seconds past delay of game on that crucial completion on their final drive. I don't know how the refs missed that but it comes with the territory, doesn't it Bud?

I did. You said the game was decided by crap refs. It wasn't. It was decided Cus of 15 penalties, three TO's in scoring position and a missed FG.

The Titans gave up 24 points of offense.

There was no shoulda-been safety, the replay I saw from the back of the endzone clearly showed his foot was safely in the endzone. Agreed on the delay of game, that was pretty bad.

Anyway, I'm happy that Bud Adams won't get a ring. I'm glad VY won't get one for sitting on the sidelines. But that being said, I don't like the way the Raven's won today.

...and I'm not saying any of this to go against you in any negative way. I still wonder if I saw enough of the replay in the endzone to have an informed opinion because the replay froze at the point where they thought the controversy came from and presented the replay as proof he didn't step out, so I'm sort of taking their word for it there was nothing more to show. (This was postgame from JB and Co.)

Yeah, the refs screwed up the delay of game no call. Just like the Oilers used to get cheated in the playoffs. The curse of Bud is alive in Possum Holler.

How many times have you heard Titans fan say something along the lines of "Texans fans are saying "wait till next year" just like every year?

What are Titans fans saying right now? What is Bud Adams saying right now? Bud knows he's running out of years and every time he says "Wait till next year" at his age the odds that he won't be here next year go up. I personally hope his dying thought is "I never won a Super Bowl". Short of the Texans finally getting to the playoffs this is everything I could ask out of the postseason.

got a question. after the titans turnover at the one.. did the Qb throw the ball while his foot was out of bounds in the endzone? I swear I thought it was a safety on that but I could have been mistaken

AND a bad call. AGAIN, I am not a Titan fan but you are either just a homer or blind to realize that a game winning drive was kept alive on a crucial 3rd down when a rule..that is black and white..was broken and the refs whiffed. It was a massive mistake. It added to the turnovers, penalties, etc..LIKE I SAID.

I'm going to be a dick for the first time in years on this board but if SOME Texans fans weren't delighted in the misfortunes of the Cowboys and Titans they wouldn't have crap to talk about.
