Key losses in free agency with no corresponding gains make things look bad for the Texans. Unless the draft comes out much better than average, it's looking like 7-9 for the season.

I’m ok with Gipson replacing HB but the Roby for Jackson is a significant downgrade.

Overall upgrade imo & I like the swap out...

Hated to see K-jax let go....thought he was the most underrated player on our team. Loved the Mathieu acquisition also. but both those guys were at their best coming up in run support. K-jax was suspect in coverage, Mathieu was just ok, but could be exploited by bigger WR's and TE b/c he was so small........ as we saw teams start to attack him more later in the season with TE's and bigger WR's.

Roby & Gipson are guys that are at their best when in coverage/space & you'd rather have that in your secondary as opposed to what K-jax & Mathieu bring as great run support guys & average in coverage. Collectively, we also get younger, a little faster & guys with better overall measurables without losing that veteran leadership that Reid flourished under last year. Also doesn't hurt that we got both these guys 8 mil cheaper than what it would've cost us to keep K-jax and Mathieu.

At best with the schedule they have. At worst Watson goes down and we have 2 yrs ago all over again.

Rebuild mode, here we come. Unless our draft picks pan out. I actually like our chances of that taking place, as Gaine showed (last draft) that he knows what he’s doing.

Honestly forgot Ryan Griffin is on the team. Why does he start again?

I like the players we drafted last year, but what exactly did they do last season outside of Reid?

Maybe I’m just blanking because I stopped paying much Attention to the games.

Because obrien found the 2 TEs in the draft who are even worse at blocking

Understable somewhat however, Ryan can't block either so I don't even see a purpose in him starting.

Thomas has potential to be a good blocker. TE is hard for rookies to learn. Look at Hurst in the in the 1st as an example.

WTF are these college coaches doing with TE's these days? It seems like less and less of them coming around now days. Finding one that can block and catch passes is like finding a unicorn. I find that ridiculous.

I've watched all the Broncos games for several years now (from the days of Os).
Roby is quite shaky in coverage.

Well then you probably already know He’s a young guy & Last year was his 1st year starting. He’s still got room to grow and get better. In any event he’s still probably as good or a little better than KJ was in coverage.

I'll miss what KJ brought in run support, but seeing him in coverage always made me cringe. He always sucked with his back to the LOS. It was usually good for one of three things....DPI, holding, or a completion. He was never a good cover corner. Certainly not one worth what Denver is going to pay him.
