    I have been watching
    Mike&Mike
    NFL Live
    SportCenter
    ESPN First Take

Apparently the match uo between CIN@HOU has been cancled
because I cant seem to find any 1 talking about the game.

Tebow and NYJ and PIT@DEN DET@NO ATL@NYG seem to be the story

First playoff game featuring two rookie QBs since 1970? Check
Two teams that have backed in to the playoffs? Check

Pitt v Den, NO v Det, and Atl v NYG all have some compelling interest and at least one true superbowl contender.

Unfortunately no one expects us or Cincy to make it to the big game, and therefore we take the lowest priority.

Remember when everyone was complaining about bandwagon fans? Well bandwagon fans get you ratings. ESPN is a business and they show what people want. Cincy + Houston is not the largest of markets.

If we win our first game, we'll get a lot more coverage going in to Baltimore. But the majority of the talk will be about Baltimore

I love this team as much as everyone else here does, but losing to the Panthers at home in embarrassing fashion and then becoming the first 10 win team to lost to a 1 win team in NFL history is backing in. Don't try to tell me we weren't trying, because we could have had the #1 seed or at least gotten a 1st round bye. And with all the injuries, that would have been huge.

I know we could have taken the Titans, but when you're on a 3 game losing streak, you're not going to get a lot of media time

    That's not backing in.

Backing in = 2006 Chiefs. Faltered down the stretch and STILL made the playoffs.

Yes. Everybody hates Houston. Now just get over it, and enjoy your team playing in the playoffs.

    Tired of whining...

Wheezing then? Maybe backing in is the wrong phrase.

The point is we aren't at the peak of our game.

Now if the schedule had been reversed, and we were coming in to this week after beating the Bengals and decimating the Falcons, I guarantee you we would be getting a lot of talk.

    ???????????

Backing into the playoffs is what the Jets did in 2009. Clinching the division in week 14 isn't backing in.

I guess everyone's being technical, but they're correct... Backing in means barely getting in... Now "stumbling in", no one can disagree with 'at...

"Backing into the playoffs" would have been the Texans during the 9-7 season when we needed the Bengals (iirc) to lose that night to make the cut.

The majority of division winners do not "back into the playoffs". Division winners EARN a playoff home game, especially if it's wrapped up by week 14.

I think the only way a division winner could be considered backing into the playoff would be the Broncos, who lose their last game, but, due to other teams losing they get the division.

Speaking of NFL Live, they are doing about five or so segments on the Texans-Bengals right now.

Hmm, I see your point. What then would you call a 3 game losing stretch including a 1 win team to get to your first playoff game?

They just did a whole segment on us. I really don't think they are passing us by, the other games are just more interesting (i'll be watching the 3 other games for sure.) if we had Schaub and Mario though I think we'd be getting a lot more hype.

"Co-sign" or the ever popular and redundantly lame "^^^this^^^" with no additional feedback other than to increase your post count. Oh, How about "Cool Story Bro"??? Please don't let this board become like clutchfans. I used to love that board until too many mommies and daddies allowed their spoiled undisciplined children to run rampant on the internet(z).

Quit whining. Quit having a sense of entitlement. We have earned nothing, and there is nothing interesting to national media unless we make it interesting. Rookie QB takes his team to AFC championship game...now that is interesting. Come complain when they don't talk about that. If we go 1 and done, which I hope we don't by any means, but then they will really forget about us. Then next year, when everone comes back healthy, we'll sneak up on em. Go wipe your tears you little sissy boys, ask your daddy for your allowance and go hop in your car that you've never had to pay a dime for and go get you a happy meal.
