heres my take. sure, he's from htown, and sure he has decent size and a good arm, but he wont be ready for another 3 years or so. if kolb is our starting QB in his 2nd year, we're gonna be going through alot of ups and downs, just like with david carr, except maybe worse. we'd be better off waiting til next year to take a polished QB that has run in a more ideal offense like brohm or booty or just take Quinn this year. we need to get better NOW. we cant wait for Kolb to progress, because it's going to take awhile. Kolb wont help us next year, or even the year after that most likely. we won 6 games with bad quarterback play and no running back, so what makes you think we'll be any worse with a decent RB in Green and a beefed up defense through the draft, and maybe even Sage running the show? if kevin kolb didnt play at UH, would you still be so high on him? i get the feeling that everyone is going through VY withdrawals and wants Kolb just because he's this year's hometown guy.
