Maybe im late and i apologize if i am. but not only is he ranked one of the top 100 players in the league (56), but a huge reason why Arian did what he did last season.

The only thing i can speculate was that he wanted too much money......

The Texans will talk to him again whenever the lockout is over so it's not a done deal.

I'm guessing he wants big money (for a FB), like 4 mill a year for 5 years. He also may want to get some other offers to maximize his value.

Maybe they just did not get that far wanting to see if they'll re-sign him for less with a new CBA.

He will be a Texan next year if some other team doesn't give him crazy money, and I don't think that will happen. Fullbacks are nearing extinction in today's game thus not knocking down the big bucks. I think Rick Smith's going to get him done, just not for the money Vonta is wanting. JMHO

    Worst... post... ever

He turns 30 in November. 30 is not old for a fullback.

He was just named to the All Pro Team. I am not talking about ProBowl which he was also, but is mostly a popularity contest. All Pro. That goes to say he's pretty damn good.

I can't even read your last sentence. Your illiteracy hurts my eyes.

    Wrong on all accounts

    Right on all accounts.

I would like to see a UDFA or two brought in as camp fodder though, just to reduce wear and tear on Leach. FB is a physical position.

Well, we've got another guy with the same problem.

    He's getting old.
    He's overrated.
His position really isn't valued much.
    Plus, he 's a psycho. :)
We really need to not pay arian very much.
Maybe we should just let him go.

Not when fullbacks play into their mid to late thirties.
