Just curious as to why we kept 3 centers on the roster, when we could have put Hodgdon on the practice squad and kept either Swinton or Thomas. Just doesn't make much sense to me, seems like Hodgdon still has alot more work to do before he'll be playing much. Why use a roster spot onhim, when we could have an extra WR.

Todd Washington can easily rotate out to a left guard if needed.

I'm guessing that even without Swinton or Thomas the coaches like the WR depth much more than the OL depth. Which I can pretty much agree with.

Part of it is not wanting to lose him. The practice squad provides no protection. Other teams can come sign anyone from the practice squad at any time. The only restriction is they have to put him on their active roster. The Texans don't even get a right to match the offer.
