Why would he? Your talking about the defending champs, a team that was undefeated, and the Colts at that. To think we should get equal treatment with these guys is a little bit wishful thinking IMO.

It wasn't so much that I actually thought we should get a story, it's just that all you hear people talk about is that injuries aren't an excuse and that's what it seemed like he was doing for the Colts.

Granted they have been hit hard with injuries and so have we, but no one is feeling sorry for us.

I just thought it was funny and wanted to share the story. Like I said, I didn't really expect to be treated in kind. The Texans never are.

because the players that are hurt for the Colts are far better as a unit than those who are hurt for the Texans.

True, but the Texans players that are hurt are equally as important in their role on the team as starters as are the Colts' players. One of the lines in the story sounds like he's saying poor Payton had to play with a few 3rd stringers.

Course I'd put AJ and Dunta as cream of the crop players we're missing not to mention we have been playing without our starting QB, a backup center, several backup running backs and other various backups.

if Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub break their leg on the same day, which one is the bigger story?

    c'mon, this is simple.

If you're asking me - SCHAUB... Because the Texans are my team and that's who I follow. I could care less about the Peyton Manning...

    Not going to argue that....

BSPN is all about front-running, and since the Colts are defending world champs with only 2 losses this season, of course BSPN is all over it.

No denying that the Colts are a bigger story, but when the media does talk about the Texans, the injuries are downplayed except for AJ. My whole point for the thread was the excuse aspect of the article, not to say that we should get the same coverage as the Colts. As someone said, we haven't earned it yet and I agree with that. The aspect of who is more important became a side topic.

To be honest with you, I am getting really tired of the "we get no media attention" stuff. We have not earned it at all. If we make it to the playoffs and it's still the same I am all over this, but as of now, it really isn't suprising, and really is something the Texans deserve. Must earn it.

the media cares about stories, not about spreading everything even amongst the teams.

For years now they've been taking it to the extreme, IMO. That's why you have kids in Seattle who's favorite players play in stadiums 3,000 miles away.

If you want to take that route, of course. My point was YESPN & Co. are adding fuel to that fire.

I hear ya brother, I can't stand all these "experts," giving excuses for the Colts. I'm pretty sure fans of other teams who have been hit hard by the injury bug feel the same way.
