I remember so many folks in here swearing how Thor was going to be this major weapon for us this year in many different ways and I haven't hardly seen us use him at all yet. I didn't expect us to much any way, but I'd like to see some hand offs go his way or some passes up the middle here and there to see what he could do. A two TE set with him and Daniels would be nice to see as well. Why aren't they getting Thor involved?

Dressen's kicking some major ass. No reason to pass him up. Same with Daniels.

As for the running game... I'm thinking he needs more work. He doesn't have much experience there despite his versatility. Also, he's been used as a decoy. Kubiak said he'd get a lot of work and I don't think I saw him too much, if any. Decoy tactic?

He's a 5th round rookie who's plays the deepest position on the team......it's going to take some time, but eventually he'll be making plays for the Texans.

I dont mind them taking some time with him because they're asking a rookie to learn 2 different positions. I'd like to see him get worked into some specialty packages to take advantage of matchup problems he'd present opposing defenses with his versatility as the coaching staff gets more comfortable with him.

The Jags game may be a good opportunity for them to add Thor to Schaub's arsenal.

Sucks having quality depth doesn't it? Sorry James.

Wait until next year. Daniels contract will be an issue and they may or may not choose to pay him. If they decide not to you can expect to see quite a bit more of 86.

I think he's being brought along gradually. He's made some plays on special teams but, as you point out, hasn't cracked the offensive line-up yet.

And you know how skittish Kubiak is about putting in rooks - unless they reeeeally shine or are first day picks.

This guy is good enough to play A LOT so how it's getting past the Wonderkid to use him is a mystery worthy of bringing in Shaggy and Scoobydoobydoo to solve. Maybe they'll be able to pull of Shanahan's mask and uncover his villainous plot to take down the ol' abandon warehouse (Astrodome?)....

Let me think...How to use a big, fast, strong guy that has glue for hands and can do almost anything from almost any position? I WONDER!!!

He's doing a pretty good job covering kickoffs and playing special teams. He's learning to play TE and FB (and long-snapper) in the NFL.

No need to rush him right now--Daniels and Dreessen are doing well, and Casey's skillset largely overlaps theirs. Getting contributions from Hill will be a bigger boost to this team if he is as good a blocker as we hope.

When we can let our rookies develop rather than just throwing them straight into the fire, you'll know this franchise has arrived.

Great post. OD showed last week he has the capability of being a good RZ target. How he grabbed the end of the football, managed to secure it, and keep his feet in bounds was a thing of beauty.

Dressen has earned his stripes with the team and the playing time. We've already got two good pass catching TEs on the team and a FB that likes to crack skulls. Those are the two positions which Casey's skill set works well towards. Fortunately( or maybe unfortunately for Casey) we've got more then capable guys starting. We've got enough guys at the spot to throw out 3 TE sets, which I think would be interesting to see.

you should also go back and watch OD block fall and get up slowly as not to draw attention from Bullock before shooting to the back of the endzone.

That's just his nickname. He's a local boy... James Casey from Rice University.
