Starting with offense... and obviously being a homer at the QB position given the small sample size of DW4 and coming off a torn ACL but oh well haha

Chime in with your rankings and lets get some discussion going on where we stand from a personnel standpoint against our divisional opponents!

Jags are better than the Colts at OG.

Conklin is coming off of a late season ACL, so who knows how good he will be.

Overall I agree with your rankings.

I included OG/C just interior OL together. I think highly of Ryan Kelly. And the tandem of Quenton Nelson/Braden Smith. Colts interior OL will be stout for years to come. Nelson in particular will be in the conversation for best OG in the league sooner than later.

I agree with you but they need to put skins on the wall.

As of right now give me the Jags, McCann, Linder, All Pro Norwell over Nelson, Kelly, Smith.

But Ballard is building an OL that's going to be formidable in the near future.

Fair enough. Hope they both regress in other areas to make up for their upgrades on the interior OL!

Building a formidable OLine .... now there's a foreign concept.

All this talk of talent, drafting, etc. This fundamentally is an HC issue. He has to adopt a rushing philosophy. Then you get a great OL coach in that philosophy and then you fill in the pieces to fit.

OB has no identifiable rushing philosophy.

Aptly, he has hired an OL coach with no philosophy.

We can throw 5 1st round picks and then pray for a great OL or they can pull their heads out and pick...

I didn't know that Devlin was considered a poor coach. It always felt to me as though O'Brien couldn't decide on what offense he wanted to run. He seems to try to emulate the Patriots, but so much of their success is due to Brady. I can't stand him, but he's the very best QB I've ever seen. Draft after draft, I watch teams with much better lines than we have, draft linemen in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Actually, that makes sense, in a sick sort of way. If your not sure about which scheme you will employ, why waste valuable picks on the foundation !

Both. OB, who knows other than he doesn't like the pure ZBS he inherited. Since then it is WztG?

Devlin I didn't say was poor. Said he had no philosophy. Which I think results in poor. He has limited experience and it is jack of all trades with no excellence. Go find a true believer in some system.

    Offensive line last

    Defensive line 2nd

Wide receivers first (division is pretty week in this area)

    Linebackers 2nd

    Running backs 3rd

    Secondary 2nd

    Tight ends 3rd

Quarterbacks 3rd (we have the potential to be first) time will tell.

    Kickers 1st

    Special team last
