Can anyone tell me how Bill Parcells came to be known as "The Tuna"? Who gave him this name?

New England media, I seem to recollect. Not because he's fat - it had something to do with him not being a "sucker" on a loaded question. Recall Charlie the Tuna commercials if you're old enough.

How did you get the nickname "Tuna?"

Parcells: When I was in Boston in my first year of the NFL on Thanksgiving, I was coaching the linebackers at the time and they tried to sucker me with the old "free turkey" down at the store. I said you must think I'm Charlie the Tuna (that was the guy that was a Starkist) at the time, and then the name just kind of stuck after that.
