The talent/brains and work ethic are there though.
It's BOB's jobs to coach him up.
Let him refine his skill set and learn the play book year 1 and play preseason the following year to see what he's got.

Can't imagine why he wouldn't play pre-season his rookie year.
Last time we were this excited about the QB class of the upcoming draft, we ended up with Tom Savage.
Vince Young apparently signed an agent aND could be eying a comeback. What would talk think about giving him a shot. It would probably be cheap and I doubt he could be any worse than Brock Osweiller.
Savage was like an afterthought. I reckon they got cute thinking their somebody would be there in the third and he unexpectedly went off the board.
This time we probably end up with Jarod Evans, but if its not one of the top three, I am hoping for Mahomes or Peterman.
It will certainly be interesting to see who they do draft.
I would bring him in as an extra arm for training camp and assess him that way.
Can you imagine the headache that would cause? No way does OB or Rick Smith seriously consider this, imho.
At this point, why the heck not? There seems to be this paradigm that we need to be selective in our QB choices (at least who we bring in to evaluate) in order to uphold some high standard that, quite frankly, doesn't exist at that position in Houston. That's completely on ownership and our GM, and it is the reason we are doomed to mediocrity at that position for the foreseeable future. No, I'm not saying Vince Young is the exception to this rule and could be the answer, but sitting on our a$$ for the next gem in the draft isn't going to do anything for us either.
BoB would have to abandon his entire system if Vince is the QB. He's not going to do that. Not a chance.
Take a look at him sure but I think this system will be way too complicated for him.
Agreed. But my point was we are in no position to dismiss any potential assets in the QB department, especially when there are no roster or monetary guarantees required.

Joining the CFL
As a free agent I'm with it.
I think Peterman, Evans, and Webb are all guys out of those top 4 (Kizer, Trubinsky, Watson, Maholmes) that are intriguing. Peterman and Evans intrigue me the most. Evans might have the most upside.
