Supposedly he just had back spasms and had to take a couple days off... now I just read on the Z report that they dont expect him to play this week either.

I've been fooled enough by the Texans medical staff to know that it isn't "just some minor back spasms". So what's really wrong with our LG?

I think it is more why not hold him out another week so they make sure not to further injur him. It is preseason not actual games, ig it was reg season this week I am sure he would be a go. Better safe than sorry in pre-season.

Who knows? I'm sure we'll have our answer by opening day at the latest.

That seems to be what we say every season...before we either put them on IR or PUP :(

...or they retire like our first expansion draft pick

I'm not in the room....but my junior year I pulled a muscle in my back. It's an aggrovating injury. I played with it for eight games. They are going to rest him this week and Kubiak said they would wait and see thursday. My interpration of that coach speak is....we won't see Pitts again untill the forth (last) preseason game. And yes he knows what the Cowpolkes game means to everyone. I also believe he's reading that schedule and seeing a chance at 2-1. He's not going to anything to jepordise that. I'm intrerpurting the "back spams" as simular to what I had. I could be wrong. If it is what I had he needs to rest it. Or it will become chornic.

Calm down, back spasms are tricky and theres absolutely no reason to rush our best lineman back in a game that means jack crap. They are just protecting him and being overly cautious..........seeing how we ran the ball against the bears I don't blame them one bit.

Based on Texans' history, I'd say it's no big deal--just a broken back and partially cracked neck.

He'll be back soon--like in his next life.

Absolutely. That game along with the rest of the preseason games mean nothing in terms of the W-L record for the regular season. But its an indication of the incredible pressure the Texans willl be under this year as I'm
hearing some people complain about the Texans losing. Please everybody, get your priorities straight !
But Chester is really one of our key players - generally considered our best
OLineman and no doubt the best LT on the team (even if they don't play him at that position ?).
I dunno about the rushing efforts by the team against the Bears ? How much of a factor did Chesters absense play ? And of course we've also got big Mike toying with the OLine again: let me see, the latest plan is another hybrid of
man & zone with which being emphasized ? Or maybe it was just 'Da Bears ?

After D. Davis, Spencer, et al, the credibility of the Texans' Medical Staff ranks right up there with that of the Kremlin...

Remember how old Soviet leaders used to be "fine" right before they keeled over?????

Pitts may be OK.... OR he may be like this guy suffering from minor flesh wounds...

Why are yall bringing Spencer up in this. I think Kubiak was always upfront with his injury as soon as he has gotten news. He came right off the bat and said it was career threatening and it was, now Kubiak says he'll be able to play again and it looks like he will as soon as he builds the strength back up.

As far as DD, DD was the one who said he was healthy until he got in camp and didn't want to do anything, because his knee "didn't feel right". Kubiak said his knee was never going to feel right and he was right........I don't see DD playing any where.

For the most part I think Kubiak and comp. have been very upfront with us as far as injuries go as soon as they get information. Knee injuries aren't like other injuries and you really don't know fully how they will heal until the rubber meets the road, which is why I don't think Kubiak really knew what was going on with DD until after he got out there and ran on it. After going through the DD situation, Kubiak was preparing us all for the worst (but hoping for the best) with Spencer. Its not like Bill Belichick listing players as Questionable on the injury report when they have broken limbs or anything.

Pitts injury is not a knee injury and the prognosis is MUCH clearer.

What was OD's injury? I never seen anything other than a "shoulder injury"

No one's really explained this report of Megan's........a slip?........a mistake? I'd say that in order to have any even semi-accurate picture of what the heck's going on with the MRI results and Pitts, a little clarification to Megan's "superlative" reporting is in order.

I heard on the radio last night that Pitts was ready to practice, but the coaches held him out as a precautionary...

The report was from Anna-Megan Raley, and not Megan Manfull. There's a gap in journalistic credibility between the two. Not that I want to see Anna-Megan leave the Chronic, see's the only reason I ever click on John McLame's videos. Let's just cut her some slack.
