So we are deep (well it feels like it) into the offseason (when will it end?) and I'm getting tired of draft speculation a little, so heres my new topic. What would happen if the NFL took every NFL player and put them into one huge draft pool (ala Madden's fantasy draft mode).

Who would be your first pick?

Peyton's getting a little old, but it'd be hard to pass on him.

Interesting everyone has mentioned only offensive players so far

    Julius Peppers.

    Defense wins championships.

In Madden my first 6 picks always involve, DE, HB, CB, CB, DE, QB.

Larry Johnson would be interesting. The guy is young, durable, and has a heck of a bright future. I'd pick up Demeco in the second.

As your first pick ? If all the players in the NFL were available?

Agree. LT hands down. Manning is a stud but I think LT can help most QBs. He is the complete package.

Yea Dante Hall is an elite KR & PR but there are plenty of people I would rather have if I could choose anybody in the NFL.

DeMeco Ryans. There's better linebackers, but Ryans is younger.

I'm pretty sure it's a typo. DeAngelo Hall is a pretty good choice.

Yea but I would still take Champ Bailey or Terrence Newman over Hall.

If you're starting a franchise over, you want the younger guy. I seriously considered Bailey, but he's been around for a while.

i understand why you would pick LT... but then you will probably end up with some really bad QB. i would go with manning, and i would still probably get a good RB.

easy.. tom brady- still fairly young and only qb can carry a mediocre team on his own imo(well sort of)
