I found this has featured by R Justice on the Chronicle. What kind of trash is this?

An open letter to Reggie Bush
    Dear Reggie,

Welcome to your new hometown. We're thrilled to have you. We hope you like us back.

With you in town for a visit and all, this might be the perfect time to tell you a little bit about our city. We know you'll like it even though it, harumph, has a couple of issues.

We hope you don't judge us on one day. We're easy to love but it takes time.

First of all, I'll bet Charley Casserly didn't tell you about the heat and humidity and tornadoes and hurricanes and mosquitos and snakes. And that's just an average day on the practice field.

Another thing we should mention, Reggie, is our little crime problem. We hope you'll be patient with that, too. Make sure you never leave your wheels unattended.

Hope you'll like our restaurants. Except for the slime in the ice machine and the Mad Cow thing, they're all terrific.

Finally, there's an issue with housing. There's hot a home for sale between here and San Antonio. So be prepared for a commute.

We hope you'll like us anyway, Reggie, because we're ready to like you.

If you decide the adjustment from Los Angeles would be too much, we understand. Vince likes its here.

From the title and the way its presented this is from Justice. Is this his idea of humor. I'm sorry, but I would say fire the guy. I would say the same if it were with respect to VY. Doesn't say much for Houston either.....

Justice is a big time longhorn, and a huge VY apologist. He's resigned to the fact that Bush will be the guy though. This is just a joke. I think.

What an idiot and Texas Longhorn homer. Maybe they should get rid of all the Houston Texans except the ones from Texas. What a joke to want a sidearmed running QB over the best player in college football.

I read that earlier today as well. Joke or not, I didn't think it was funny at all. Insulting actually. He can write whatever he wants, it's his right, but he sounds very unprofessional and extremely immature.

    Is that real????

I find it hard to believe because it is 1. not accurate and 2. so not funny. Really, it is not at all clever. Even by Richard Justice standards.

Go to the chronicle - Richard Justice - Open letter to Bush. If its not his its certainly a poor title on the front Page of the Chronicle Sports page on the network....

This is a ridiculous situation being created by the chronicle. What is happening is that as people post to this blog it apparently comes up as the title under Justice. I presume at this point this was posted by someone other than Justice. However, I think the Chonicle needs to change the process so that it doesn't appear to be from Justice and it certainly should not be like a head line on their front page. It had the look and appearance as to have come from Justice because of the page organization. I didn't think he would do something like that, but then again stranger things have happened.....

You're probably right. I just couldn't see an article posted like this by a professional writer.

I think Justice is writing this sort of as a way just to keep getting hate mail. If you read his blog on a daily basis, you'll notice he gets a lot of crap thrown his way. I think he does this just to keep it coming and sort of as a way to get back at people. It's his blog so I don't mind. He doesn't have to write professionally in that, IMO. As long as he doesn't write this type of thing in one of his columns, I have no problem. And yes, he prefers Vince Young over Reggie Bush.

Really hate to tell ya this, but it is true. Houston is a nice place to visit, but not nice to live in.

And this coming from an 18 year native, and 3 year part time resident.

Annnnnd add to that, it might have been a stupid thing to post, (leave ya'll to debate that), but compared to some of the vitrol that has spilled off the board since I paid any attention to it.....that was nothing. And that inlcudes VY lovers/haters, DC's fan club, RB's entourage, and alot of you homers.

Know what I think, you think it's all in good fun. Actually it's not. It says we have problems and we don't care. I mean this is derogatory of our city. I know every city has it's problems, but to come out and say those kinds of things as if he were proud of them is an insult. Enjoy our mad cow disease beware of your wheels lest they get stolen. Damn that's a slap in the face to those that want to see changes for the better. It belittles all the efforts that have been made to improve our cities conditions. The more I think about it the more I think this should be in the no-spin thread. Even if he apologized for someone who works at the newspaper it is a shame that he of all people would put that out there so that our city could be further ridiculed.

I still find it funny that Richard Justice, who was acting like a school girl with a crush on Reggie Bush the day before the Rose Bowl, is writing garbage like this now. I know it is his attempt at a joke, but it is still funny how much he has changed and it will be even funnier how much he is going to change once Bush is on the team and he returns to Reggie being his "new best friend".

If I was Reggie, once I became a Texan I would give Justice and McClain the finger and only give interviews to Manfull and Lopez.
