I didn't watch anything but the Houston game yesterday (honey-dos).. barely watched any highlights.

But Cleveland beat the Patriots, how? Is someone hurt? Was Brady off?

I've seen the game is going to be on NFL Replay Tuesday & I plan to watch it.......

    Anybody get to see it?

The Browns D is playing pretty damn good lately. Also, Peyton Hillis was unstoppable yesterday. He racked 188 yrds in rushing. And Colt Mcoy is also playing decent football.

I like Foster, but I wanted us to go after Payton Hillis soooo bad.

He's good but he still hasn't proven he can stay healthy for a whole year.

What happened in Cleveland stays in Cleveland, because nobody cares about Cleveland.

This. I tried to throw it in every thread that seemed relevent. We should have gone after him when McDaniels was throwing his little fire sale in his first season there. Could have had him cheap too.

It appears we have a full fledged QB controversy underway in Cleveland. The fans have apparently fallen for Colt McCoy, and no wonder after his performance and the result of the last three games.

From the local newspaper, the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

It's just Colt being Colt. All he does is win.

Had lunch at a bar across from Fenway park during this game and it was pretty hilarious to hear the Pats fan wails every time the Browns scored. I was happy to see the Browns do well, but man those pats fans were so pissed. I will say I dont think I saw anyone leave the bar before we left in the middle of the third.

The Browns gave the Saints offense fits. Absolute fits. I was impressed how well they played - the disguised coverages, brought pressure from different places, mixed up looks in the front 7, etc...

Brees was off all game long.

    They forced turnovers and capitalized.

They also used some trick plays and special teams fakes to get good field position.

The Browns offense really only had 1 drive worth nothing against the Saints D but they didn't turn the ball over.

They didn't need to, though - their defense won the game.

    Props to them.

They've always been, for me, an easy AFC team to root for

Actually there's something implied in that saying which is maybe its real meaning: all he does is "not lose" the game the way the hotdog gunslingers often do.

Before Colt was forced into the starting lineup, the Browns played Delhomme and Wallace at QB. The strategy (or lack there of), seemed to be to pass the ball way too often with little to no play action passes and empty backfield sets. Due to Colt being inserted, the Browns seem to have made a more determined effort to run the ball and protect Colt.

Colt has performed admirably. He is very accurate, has good touch, scrambles out of trouble, and has yet to make the stupid mistakes.

The key to all this has been the performance of Peyton Hillis and the offensive line. Mangini has built this team from the O-line out. He drafted Mack at center with the trade down with the Jets and drafted and traded for additional maulers on the O-line. He seems to have followed the same blueprint he used to build the O-lines when he was with the Jets.

Sprinkle in some trick plays and desperation 4th down conversions, and the Browns have surprised a couple pretty good teams.

If memory serves me correct, the Browns also recieved a 6th round pick in 2011 and a conditional pick (6th round minimum) in 2012.

The Browns have a history of poor drafts and bad trades--so far this one looks good.

The Texans look to be on their way to playing their way off of KEYE for another season. I am sure there will be a good mix of Browns and Titans games soon.

It's crazy ironic that when VY and Colt take over their teams immediately start winning despite how well or bad they play.

With Colt it is pretty funny and I would get a kick out of VY if he wasn't playing for the Titans.

I gotta tell you. ALL of my Denver friends wanted Denver to Keep Hillis. I really wanted us to get Hillis. My Buddy in DC wanted the Redksins to retain Hillis. In short, the fans wanted him, the teams didn't.
