Yeah the "bruising lead blocker" bit caught my eye too.
I saw this about a week ago and thought that this just might have "3rd and 1" or goalline situation written all over it.
How many times did this offense stall on 3rd and 1 last season - or the season before that?
Pick up a handful or so more of those in a season and it could mean an extra win or two.

It would certainly be great to have our Vonta Leach back again.

Vonta hurt people. Not many like him. Hope the Aggie can approach Vonta.

I seriously don't see BO'b putting a FB back into his offense.

Pats have had success with James Develin...

You see him using a FB 0% of the time over the next 4 years?

So you think the intent in drafting him was strictly as a special team's gunner? You don't think there will be any short yardage plays in the playbook where a lead blocker is utilized?

Pats running game finished 5th overall last season. Interesting side note: Seahawks finished first overall. Maybe Carl Smith will help OB add some of those philosophies, particularly how they threatened Wilson on read-option.

I'm still confused as to why they drafted him. But O'Brien was averse to using FB when he got here... he showed he has no idea how to use one. He finally got away from them altogether. Doesn't make sense he'll draft one in the 7th round & design him back into the offense.

I could be & most likely am wrong. But no, it doesn't make sense that we would draft a FB

Despite what Texans fans wanted to think, it wasn't like Prosch was a mauler FB. He logged a 45 PFF in 2017.

Tbh I have no ide what ob is gonna do.

This offense is a shapeless mess as far as I'm concerned.

The part where Watson throws the ball to Hopkins and Fuller works out pretty well. Coutee too when healthy!

Yep, and if they hit on Howard/Scharping and Rankin is the OG I think he will be, the offense will look much better, particularly if somehow WFV can stay healthy.

If he can get those 3rd and 1's, he will get more and more chances.
