The rankings should be much different in week 2. Assuming Ole Miss wins convincingly today, and Florida State squeezes one out against Miami (two likely scenarios) what do you see happening to the rankings? I know we could just wait but I love to speculate and see other people's opinions before the rankings come out.

I know last year someone tried to create their own equations for this stuff. Bah I think it was.

Here is the week 1 AP top 25:

    1 Florida (58) 1498
    2 Texas (2) 1424
    3 Oklahoma 1370
    4 USC 1313
    5 Alabama 1156
    6 Ohio State 1113
    7 Virginia Tech 1054
    8 Mississippi 1047
    9 Oklahoma State 989
    9 Penn State 989
    11 LSU 914
    12 California 746
    13 Georgia 714
    14 Boise State 659
    15 Georgia Tech 593
    16 Oregon 587
    17 TCU 521
    18 Florida State 307
    19 Utah 289
    20 Brigham Young 267
    21 North Carolina 261
    22 Iowa 229
    23 Notre Dame 225
    24 Nebraska 207
    25 Kansas 13

My guess at the top 25 assuming the two above scenarios:

    1. Florida
    2. Texas
    3. Alabama
    4. USC
    5. Ohio State
    6. Oklahoma State
    7. Ole Miss
    8. Penn State
    9. Cal
    10. LSU
    11. Boise State
    12. BYU
    13. Georgia Tech
    14. TCU
    15. FSU
    16. Oklahoma
    17. Virginia Tech
    18. Georgia
    19. Utah
    20. North Carolina
    21. Notre Dame
    22. Kansas
    23. Iowa
    24. Nebraska
    25. Tennessee

Yeah that didn't work out for me so well last year. Say what you want about the computer polls but those things are more complicated than any of us will ever know.

As far as the top 25 shake up, I don't think we will see much of one. The voters are ridicuolous. I would bet money that Oklahoma will still be ranked despite being winless. There is so much ego and bias in these polls that they really can't be taken seriously until we approach the end of the season.

Here is my poll so far, based on my own eyes and nothing else:

    1. Florida
    2. Texas
    3. Alabama
    4. USC
    5. Oklahoma St
    6. California
    7. Boise St
    8. BYU
    9. Penn St
    10. Georgia Tech
    11. Ohio St
    12. Ole Miss
    13. LSU
    14. Notre Dame
    15. Nebraska
    16. Kansas
    17. North Carolina
    18. Utah
    19. Missouri
    20. Michigan St
    21. Oregon St
    22. Tennessee
    23. Iowa
    24. Arizona
    25. South Carolina

TCU is not ranked because they haven't played a game yet. I will never rank a team that has 0 wins.

These will change based upon what happens in the final two games of the week.
