What's up, Texans fans. Well the season is FINALLY here, so I wanted to come chip in my $.02 on this game.

First and foremost, Andre Johnson is a FREAK. I very much fear playing this guy. Even with a healthy Nate Clements Andre Johnson is a serious threat. With a banged up Nate, I'm a bit worried.

How's Carr progressing this year? Is he to the point where they're going to open the offense up a bit more? It seems the weapons are there but in general the Texans always like to stay on the conservative side.

I saw WillisXpress in another thread mentioning the strengths of both teams but I wanted to avoid such a discussion simply because I'm sick of the Bills being paper tigers. Seriously, on paper our team is about as talented as anyone in the league. Every member of our secondary has been to the probowl. Fletcher, Spikes, Milloy, Clements, McGee, Vincent, Schobel, Adams...and then offensively with McGahee, Moulds, and Evans...we have no shortage of talent ON PAPER, but I refuse to defend them until they all come together as a team and make a championship run.

But I digress. I'm looking very forward to sunday. Here's to a hard-fought and injury free game.

And just because this emoticon looked fun...

:yahoo: Thank God football's almost back!!!

Welcome to the Texans board #1 Bills Fan. We are all looking forward to a good game this Sunday. Alot of Texans fans are a little worried about Carrs performance in the last two preseason games, but I think he will be alright. I think the Texans are going to try and key on Willis and shut him down to force JP to beat us. If Losman can't handle the pressure, it could be a long day for you. Likewise, if Carr plays like he did in the final 2 preseason games, it could be a very long one for us. I believe our defense is better and faster this season, and we all know what kind of defense the Bills have, so this game could all come down to special teams. One good return and a field goal might be the deciding factor. Who knows? Either way, I think this is going to be an exciting game.

This should be a close game decided by special teams play, and which offense makes the least mistakes. We have looked terrible in the preseason with penalities and Carr has been off the past two games. Both defenses should have good games, with yours being a ahead of ours based on experience. Defense edge to Buffalo, Offense - equal, Special teams edge to texans ,Final score Texans 16, Buffalo 14 on last second field goal by brown.

First and foremost i'd like to thank you for coming on here in a respectable manner like you did. Second I really like your observation of your team being a paper team. If yall could put to use the talent yall have you would be a playoff contender. However if yall do not yall will end up like last year. I beleive this will be a tight game and it will really come down to which QB has a poor game and which doesnt. If both play well or poor then like everyone else says it will most likely be decided on by special teams...I guess we will see and good luck to you and again - Welcome

unfortunately, the game will be a blowout, however Capers has yet to use our secret play, where Carr falls down and crawls around after the snap trying to hide from the pass rush... wish us luck

Carr and the O-line have learned to execute that play to perfection over the past three seasons .... I think Palmer will dream up a new one this season .

Losman will have to learn that one ...... the Bills O-line is just as bad :texflag:

Finally a Bills fan that isn't a troll. Here's how i see this game.

We're returning 10 starters from last year on offense. The new addition is Victor Riley who will be starting LT, he replaced Wand who has been inconsistent. As of now, he seems to be an upgrade from Wand, and the Oline has been playing better than last year, but it's preseason so it's anybody's guess how they will play during the regular season. The Oline has consistently been our weakness from day one, and we have high hopes for a solid Oline, we'll just have to wait and see i guess.

Carr hasn't looked all that great so far in the preseason, but I don't put much stock in the preseason with our team, I'm expecting him to improve like he has for the past 3 years. Aj is a beast and will continue his ways and improve like he has the past 2 seasons, he's by far the biggest weapon on our offense. Dominick Davis looks in good form thus far in preseason and we expect him to improve as well. As for out TE position, it's virtually nonexistent. We tend to use Davis alot for quick passes, where another team might use the TE. We have a solid group of weapons on the offensive side, we'll just have to wait and see their full potential as the season goes on.

On the defensive side, it's really hard to tell. We may be faster, but very unproven as of yet. We finally have a solid Dline with good depth, but it's still too early to tell. Expect 8 men inthe box consitently until Losman throws the ball. I'd like to see how Losman has addapted to he NFL since being drafted. I think that is Buffalo's biggest concern as of now. McGahee is solid and has great potential, you have two good WRs, I really don't know who has the better receivers as of now. The season will tell.

I think the 3 keys to the game will be.
    1. Turnovers-If Carr or Losman give up the INT, it could really be significant, I'm predicting a close game here.
    2. Mcgahee-If he can run on us, the Bills have a really good chance of winning. Likewise, if he can't run the ball, I think the Texans have a great chance of winning. He is a big key to this game, he'll take alot of pressure off of Losman if he runs well.
    3. Special teams-I know the Bills were really good last year on special teams. Will it continue? We hope not, but i'm sure you hope it does. This might be the KEY to the game.

#1 Bills Fan- Buffalo is a great football town, the fans are loud & supportive. luckily we are playing them @ the end of summer instead of the ice & snow but still BIG home field advantage that's worth at least a field goal. special teams? someone on our board mentioned the Texans have an edge, I don't think so the Bills might have the best special teams in the entire NFL & at home, plus I think Mathis is less than 100% with a pulled hamstring. We don't even know for sure who will return kickoffs yet (another field goal)?
The one area the Texans match up well is on defense I believe that will be a push. so the difference in the game if the Texans are to win will have to be made up on the offensive side of the ball. on paper you would think the Texans should have the advantage with as much experience as Carr has over J.P. Losman, but Carr has been easily frustrated since the end of last season through pre-season and no one seems to have a reason why, other than I think its the playcalling from upstairs, anyway what should be a positive for the Texans is not & as a result another push. so homefield (3 points) + special teams (3 points) = Bills by +6

If you like a wager I'll take +6 & the Texans for a beer

The matchup I am looking forward to, is Evans, Mounds, vs. Robinson, Buchanon.

Ive heard that the Texans arent going to blitz Losman like mad men, but instead try to confuse him with complex coverages. I dont know exactly what they plan on doing there.

I know Willis will get his yards. I predict 130 with a score. Moulds gets the other one from Evans bomb that took them to the 10. Toss in a couple of field goals for good measure. 20 points.

I see the Texans running a balanced attack. Johnson comes out strong, and with Capers game 1 gameplaning, gets 150 yards and 1 score. Davis gets the other one, with 120 yards of total offense, on the ground, and in the air. Brown takes a couple of shots with his leg, and connects on 2/3. One from 50+. 20 points.

I like Bufallo's D. And I hope the O-line can keep Carr from getting killed. Ill give them 2 picks, and 4 sacks.

Ill give the Texans 1 pick returned for a TD, with 2 sacks.

    Hope you enjoyed my perspective.
